Rob Hawkins has launched a new hobby blog for his terrain & miniatures galleries & tutorials.

From his announcement:

The Rob Hawkins Hobby Blog is a new site dedicated to the hobby of tabletop wargaming.

Rob has spent over 8 years in the industry, having worked for both Games Workshop and Privateer Press. His blog offers a peek into his work studio and features galleries of his personal and professional work.

His collection includes several armies for Warmachine & Hordes, Warhammer 40K & Fantasy, Warmaster, LOTR, Flames of War, and Malifaux, so whatever your game, you can find something of interest.

The blog is just getting started, and as time passes Rob will be adding hobby tutorials focusing on converting and painting miniatures and building terrain.

I look forward to this. There has been a real dearth of good terrain articles and how-to’s.

Rob’s ability to create awesome terrain is only equaled by his desire to consume buckets of cold stone ice cream. Really looking forward to this!

  • Rob has spent eight years in the industry…. Maybe I’m getting old, but that’s not a long time. However, he does great work whether he’s been in the industry one year or twenty, and I look forward to reading more.

    Glad he’s doing this!

I met Rob when he was a redshit at my local GW… I want to say it was 12 years ago. He was pumping out awesome terrain back then.

Best typo in a while! He was a what? 😆

  • 8 years working for GW & PP, though I’ve been wargaming for about 15 years in total. My stint in GW retail was from 2000 to 2003. Glad to hear you guys like the site! 🙂
