One of the most iconic characters of Jim Henson’s Labyrinth was sort of an ensemble cast. Jareth was the Goblin King, and you can’t have a king of the goblins without goblins to be the king of. Coming next year, you’ll be able to add more goblins to your games of the Labyrinth board game from River Horse with their Goblins expansion, of which they’ve posted a preview.

The set will come with 5 (unpainted) goblin miniatures as well as 5 new cards. You can use the figures a couple different ways. First, you can just use them to replace the standees in the game. Or, you can add the five cards to the game deck, giving you a chance to encounter these little fellas in your travels. You won’t be able to pass through a space with a goblin in it unless you defeat it in combat. The dangerous halls of the labyrinth have gotten even more dangerous.

Expect to see the Goblins expansion on store shelves early next year (probably February).

I was born at a very young age. I plan on living forever. So far, so good.

Oh man I don’t play this game, but I would so buy these and use them in Song of Blades and Heroes. Will these be metal, plastic, or resin? Anyone know?
