    After 2 Years delay? Fantastic

And now the stuff to the backer and maybe we could be happy.

  • Verminous Fang

Backers have had our stuff for weeks now.

    • Verminous Fang

      I should say US backers.

      • Wow! That’s news to me. I’m still waiting for mine and I live in Indiana which I believe is still part of the US.

        • Soulfinger

Judging by all the Confederate flags in my town, I’m pretty sure that at least Southern Indiana seceded, but don’t worry Miniature Market has most of the Relic Knights stuff on clearance for up to almost 50% off, and they ship pretty quickly — even to seditionists.

          • grimbergen

There is now Sedition War in Indiana?

          • grimbergen

Also, the MM clearance for relic knights are only for the original metal stock, being replaced with the new plastic kits.

        • Verminous Fang

Sorry to hear that (that you haven’t received the pledge, not that you live in Indiana 🙂 ). It must have just been so long that I assumed I was one of the last to get mine. I hope it comes soon.

Neither I nor any of my friends here in Hawaii have received anything. (Also part of the US…50th state yo!)

        • odinsgrandson

How long does shipping to Hawaii normally take from the continental US?

Anyway- this release definitely comes before some backers have received their minis, and after quite a few others.

I wonder if this is a problem caused by simply over-estimating their ability to ship boxes, and putting the timetables too close to begin with (once you’ve given distribution and retail a date, you don’t want to take it back unless you have to).

But I’m sure that it is not helped by the fact that the company in charge of fulfillment (CMON) has split with the creators (SPM) and new publishers (Ninja Division).

  • GhedJennar

People with small orders have their stuff. Those with big orders will get their stuff eventually….definitely by Christmas…maybe.

  • Grindar

Let’s not forget the screwups CMON is letting though the cracks, like the Hell’s Belles short a torso in every box. Or Valeria with her foot stuck backwards. My pledge was also short a serpent priestess and I don’t even know how many base inserts yet.

  • blackfang

And here I am with my pledge still on the slow boat from China.

    • odinsgrandson

CMON said they weren’t going to slow boat RK. They haven’t talked much about it since then, so I can’t confirm anything…

  • Kolonel K

I hear those of us in Australia will get it just after the snowball fights break out in Hell.

    • Soulfinger

I backed that too, but I’m told that they changed the snowball material to spincast PVC.

  • Space Ghost

Interesting that the pop up images are so small, almost like they don’t want you to see a lot of detail, or look to closely…..

I really do feel bad for everyone who backed this, the quality seems to be a real let down. I backed Sedition Wars myself – I doubt I’ll back another CMON or McVey kickstarter again.

I wonder when these delays and low quality sculpts are going to start putting a dent in the KS scene?

    • odinsgrandson

I backed this kickstarter, and the quality of the minis themselves is quite good. I believe that the material they’re using may be wrong for Studio McVey’s super detailed resin kits, but it is working quite well for these anime minis.

The complaints have largely been about communication, mispacks, and the very long time it seems to be taking them to ship out all of the orders.

The minis I have received are great, and I’m going to have a blast painting them. (Also, the pop up images on Ninja Division’s website are pretty big).

      • odinsgrandson

Wow- I just checked the pop ups and they’re crazy small.

Ninja Division’s website has the same images, but they’re all WAY bigger.

  • Jon F

You can see bigger pictures if you follow the links from the Soda Pop site:

  • Gabbi

A friend backed this, I added one figure to his pledge, and nothing arrived here yet. But we’re in Old Europe, so I believe we should not hold our breath, right…?
On Sedition Wars, I believe I have to somewhat thanks them. I was disappointed to the extent that I had almost stopped throwing my money at Kickstarter projects afterwards… 🙂

  • carypearson

Haven’t received even a notice that it is shipping, and I am in the US.

So NO backers have not yet recieved their shipments.

This is the 4th time CMoN has done this (Season 1 and 2 of Zombicide and Sedition Wars)

Not backing Season 3 of Zombicide, because I have so many heros it is silly at this point, and IF I feel I need the new mechanics of the new versions, I can just get them a week before backers do, for 30% off by buying from MM or CoolStuffInc…

  • odinsgrandson

Some backers have definitely received them. I am among those backers, and I have several friends who have as well.

Now, fullfillment is being handled by CMON, and distribution is being handled by Ninja Division/Sodapop.

So, I wonder if CMON told ND that they’d be done by now, but overestimated their ability to get shipping finished.

So, Ninja Division sent minis out to retailers for the release date. I can’t blame them for that move- I’m sure they wish they’d got this game out way sooner.

  • Gallahad

The majority of people I have heard from about this have been pleasantly surprised by the quality of the minis. They say they aren’t fantastic, but they are good, and definitely better than Sedition Wars stuff.

  • Nosaj Verush

I got my stuff. All Noh Empire plus dark space Rin. They are all great. Sculpts are good. Production is good. I am quite pleased and trust me, I would say if I was not. Can’t wait to play with my buddy who pledged as well and got his stuff.

  • Nosaj Verush

If I have any criticism it’s that I do not like the way the back of the berserker turned out. He should have armor and a big pack pack on his back. As it is, it looks like his back is bare and the energy towers are popping out of his naked back. The huge gun is plugged into what looks like a canteen. The concept art did not seem to cover the back and the sculptor did not do it justice. The front is great.

  • I’ve had my stuff for several weeks now and that was a larger Gotta Get the All Pledge, and I’m in the Metro Detroit Area of Michigan.

It’s a real bummer how negative people are about the game because of the delays with the kickstarter.

The game is really fun and the sculpts are pretty decent. I’m not a huge fan of the material but once you have it put together and get some paint on them they look pretty good.

I’ve been posting the details as I finish building and painting the factions here.

So far my only big issue has been with some missing parts (Hell’s Belles short torsos, Darkspace Zineda missing a foot, one of the proctors foot is sculpted backwards.) I still have the Black
Dimond and Corsairs to assemble hoping they don’t have any missing parts, but I’m sure Sodapop will correct these once they have their stock in hand.

  • I received my stuff about two weeks ago and I have to disagree with some of those above. The quality of the miniatures is outside of a few factions and some of the larger pieces just atrocious. I found my Cerci and Doctrine to look terrible, soft features, soft details, some nearly faceless and limbs softly twisted in ways not natural. The Black Diamonds were bland. All but one of my Dark Space variants were really weak. Sometimes the design was just off. The miniatures vary wildly in scale as well. If you take the Novitiates and the other squad from Doctrine they are two very different scales and it only gets worse as you add other Doctrine models to the mix.

The Noh on the other hand were great as were most of the Knights themselves being much larger miniatures.

The flash in some places has been bad and the plastic doesn’t file down well so it can often mar the product as you get ready to prime and paint.

I’ve backed several kickstarters and these are the worst miniatures I’ve gotten (they might be tied with Sedition Wars Wave 2, but then I look at Hell’s Belles and the mechanic and perhaps the SW 2 ones are better. Will have to look again). My experience with this kickstarter has certainly colored my view of future kickstarters. Especially those done by CMoN and Ninja Division.

In case you were wondering Bushido’s kickstarter for the Ito faction had brilliant miniatures and was delivered faster than I anticipated or that they said it would be. Deep Wars did a great job as well.
