Reaper Miniatures have posted a preview of the new cases that their boxed sets will begin shipping in.

From their website:

From the “It must have come from Texas” department, buy a Reaper Boxed Set and get a free gun case!

Some of you may have noticed our new boxes we’re using for our boxed sets. Nice little hard plastic jobs that double as a miniature tote or a handy lunch box. Filled with egg-carton style foam, these new boxes are just fantastic. But don’t take my word for it.

  • That is a great idea – especially for the army builder box sets. But it wouldn’t be useful for an assembled dragon or treeman box set.

  • Looks like a lunch box.

Where did you go to school? 🙂

  • Lunch box. Gun box. Is there a difference? 🙂 As I recently said on the miniatures website that will not be mentioned, I love these boxes. I assume Mini-Giant will carry them?

  • Can’t believe what great value these box sets are with a carry case included (doesn’t hurt how good the Oz dollar is right now too)

Has Reaper undergone a very recent general price increase? Or am I just unlucky.

I priced their Gauth dragon last month at $89.99 as I was budgeting my gaming purchases for this month. Now I see the Gauth dragon is priced at $99.99 with the “free” plastic case.

If there’s going to be a hidden charge, I’d at least like the option to opt out and go with the basic cardboard packaging.

Not to the best of my knowledge.
