Privateer Press shows upcoming plastic heavy warbeast kit for Circle.

From their website:

Warpwolves are humans that have been transformed into savage beasts well suited for battle. The druids of the Circle Orboros use the vicious feral warpwolves to strike their enemies hard and fast, unleashing them to sow death and discord with tooth and claw. Contrastingly, the white-furred purebloods cut swathes through the enemies of Orboros with measured ferocity and bone-shattering howls. Retaining some portion of their human intellects, the sword-wielding stalkers are stealthy killers that prowl behind enemy lines and strike without warning.

This box set contains three color stat cards and one multi-part heavy warbeast plastic model (PIP 72057). Included are all the components to assemble one of three heavy warbeast variants: Feral, Pureblood, or Stalker Warpwolf. A player may field any number of these heavy warbeasts in a Circle Orboros army.

I was born at a very young age. I plan on living forever. So far, so good.
  • Well, I don’t think the Pureblood has quite as much character as much as the original sculpt. However, the Feral is 1000% better than before and finally comes into line with the other models. The Stalker too, while very similar to its predecessor, is posed a bit better.

Overall, I am very pleased with these. 🙂

I think these are for March. I like having a feral who will fit in with my metal stalker and pureblood

Anybody have a guess on price? These look great, but I have a hard time swallowing some of PP’s prices.

  • PP’s website says $34.99.

While I welcome the Warpwolf – the Stalker and Pureblood are a big step backwards afaik – they took pictures of these 3 models from different views, but they all have the same torso & legs. At least some optional accessoirs should have been included.

It’s the same with the Warmachine jacks. I think it’s appropriate in Warmachine. The problem is that the Hordes stuff is biological and not mechanical like in Warmachine. Although I think the Feral Warpwolf and Stalker are good, the pure blood definitely took a big drop in quality. It just looks like a Feral painted white now.

The feral is definitely a step up from the original, and the pureblood a big step backwards. The stalker is pretty similar to the metal version.

Nice details on these sculpts, too. I hope the actual plastic models will be as sharp.

One thing though, the head-torso connections are pretty poorly done. I know modular kits aren’t as easy to do with beasts as with jacks, but it’s been done and done well in the past. PP should be able to do better than that!

This would have been a great kit if it just replaced the old Feral. But triplets with different heads and arms are just stupid.

I am impressed. For sure Feral is shining star here, but 2 other are also nice. In my personal opinion pure blood is also better than metal. I didn’t like previous pose. This one looks really angry not like a dog who felt in love and is howling to moon.
Stalker is very similiar to metal. Nothing more to say about it.
All in all I am very happy with what I see. One box for sure is must have for me.
