Well, we’re here on the first day of November. And you know what that means!
Ok, yes, that. But also, it’s coming up to my favorite holiday of the year: Thanksgiving. I’m already getting plans together and a menu figured out. Yes, as an overly-enthusiastic amateur cook, I do as much prep work for Thanksgiving as most of my friends do for their Halloween costumes.
But while I flip through towers of cookbooks, I’ll also listen to some gaming podcasts, because that’s the sort of person I am.
Anyway, this week we have: Plaid Hat Games Podcast Episode 222: The End of the World, Gamers Lounge Ep 129: Catching Up, Epic Gaming Night Podcast Ep 77: This is us, Nerdherders Episode 9 (99): Electile Dysfunction, It Will Not Die Podcast Episode 18: Grave Digging in Frostgrave, and Geeks of the North Episode 34: Paint Schemes and Background Noises.
Callin takes Alex, Brie, Colby, Dave and Sam on a post-apocalyptic adventure!
Episode 129 is all about catching up after a bit of a hiatus. Spencer and Bill chat about what they’ve been up to since the beginning of August. This includes gaming, Gencon, and the disastrous crash of the previous Gamers Lounge mixer.
This week we talk what we have been playing Mechs Vs Minions, Battle of the Five Armies, & Mysterium! And answer a bunch of crazy questions!
Can’t get enough of all the political intrigue in the world? Well, the Nerdherders have you covered. It’s the inaugural debate for Fictional President of the World! There’s also the usual chatter about comic books, board and video games, Dungeons and Dragons and movies!
After far too long of a break, we’re back and excited to talk about the game that has been invading our hobbyspaces. Frostgrave is an exciting skirmish style wargame focusing on warbands and campaigns, with huge amounts of freedom to tackle all areas of the hobby from conversions, terrain building, and painting. I know, it’s like it’s a game designed specifically for Justin!!
This week, we chat about where we get ideas for paint schemes, and we also talk about stuff we do/listen to while hobbying. So sit back, relax, grab a paintbrush and enjoy the show!
