With any luck, you made it through Monday unscathed. The work week is fully underway and we’re working through the middle portion. I know something that helps me get through is listening to some gaming podcasts.
This week we have: Plaid Hat Games Podcast Episode 221: Karma, Game Classy 125: 40k End Times, The Rolistes Episode 15 – Across The Pond, A Detroiter In London & A Londoner In DC (With Aimee Carter And Labyrinth Games & Puzzles), Blue Peg, Pink Peg Episode 84: The Others and Game Design Ideas, Anonymous Tabletop – Episode 7, Guild Ball Tonight Episode 47: There Be Dragons, Gamers Lounge Ep 128 – Moonstone the Game, Epic Gaming Night Podcast Episode 76: Our Top 10 Games!, The Polyhedron Collider Cast AireCon 2016 – Five Games I Hate But Everyone Else Loves, and Meeples & Miniatures Episode 181: Mortem Et Gloriam.
Colby, Isaac, Callin, and Alex chat about Karma in Business and in Gaming.
Joe and Steve get to some gaming stuff with 40k talk, new bitz orders, The Burning of Prospero, Spartan Games’ Kickstarter debacle, and Joe’s run through of Witchborn
This episode is the fruit of the randomness of life, friends getting married and inviting you over to celebrate with them on the other side of the Atlantic (congratulations again D&S), and the magic of the internet when open-mindedness meet good intentions.
During this week’s episode:
1) The Pegs discuss recent news and game plays including The Pursuit of Happiness, London Dread, Ingenious and more;
2) Review the horror themed one against many adventure game from CMON, The Others; and
3) Discuss their board game design ideas.
Welcome to Anonymous Tabletop Episode 7.
In this episode Tim surprises us with some hobby updates, Dave comes clean as the Destroyer of Games, and most of us get paranoid while rooting out fascists in a game of Secret Hitler.
We also finally recap our trip to Gen Con, discuss our thoughts on Escape Rooms, and find out what Tim thinks of politics when he jumps up on his soapbox and tells us.
In addition, we attempt to celebrate the life of Gene Wilder, start a celebrity death watch, and I try to right the ship with a horrible eulogy.
And of course, no show is complete without a disgusting trip into Tim’s Sack. This time, we’re forced to boldly go where no man has gone before. Set your phasers to stun.
– Kick Off previewed [2:55] – Huzzah Fall Brawl report [19:51] Getting your models professionally painted (with Jason Tate) [44:30]
Episode 128 has Gamers Lounge returning to the air. This episode focuses on an interview with the creators of Moonstone the Game. Moonstone is a character driven skirmish game currently on Kickstarter. Bill has checked this out and it’s a very cool game overall.
Give this a listen and if you’re interested, check out their Kickstarter.
This week we talk about our top 10 board games and why we love them!!
We’ve just spent the weekend at AireCon, a gaming convention in Bradford UK. Together with Jay from Breacher18, Luke from the Broken Meeple and Rob from the Cult of the New Podcast we took part in a podcasters panel titled Five Games I Hate But Everyone Else Loves.
Will we hate your favourite game? Does Jon actually hate anything? Is Jay going to punch Luke? All will be revealed.
This is our first media panel, so we apologise for the audio quality.
Welcome to Episode 181 of the Meeples & Miniatures Podcast
In this episode, hosts Neil Shuck Mike Hobbs, Mike Whitaker and Dave Luff are joined by game designer Simon Hall. We talk in-depth about his new Ancients rules Mortem Et Gloriam
As usual, they also discuss what they’ve been doing Hobby-wise for the past couple of weeks and cast their eye over some of the latest hobby news.
We hope you enjoy the show
