It was quite a busy Monday around here. We’ll just see what Tuesday brings for us. If it’s to be a busy week, so be it. It’ll just make it all go by quickly. Something that’ll also help it go by quickly is listening to some gaming podcasts.

Roy and Rob talk about the games they have been playing and Gaming with Strangers!
In this week’s episode:
1) The Pegs discuss their recent game plays including Castell, The Grim Forest, Transatlantic and many more;
2) Review the action selection game, Calimala; and
3) Revisit The Oracle of Delphi.
The Meeples crew get together to catch up with what they have been doing over the last few weeks, chatting about the games they have played and the miniatures they have painted.
For our feature interview, we talk to Andy Cooper from West Wind Productions/Forged in Battle. We catch up with what they have been up to in the last year (we last interviewed Andy on episode #195) and ask him all about the War & Empire III Kickstarter that is running until the 3rd March 2018.
We hope you enjoy the show.
Time for the 3rd Annual Squirrelly Awards. For those of you that are joining us for the first time, welcome to a unique type of award show. We want to make sure you understand this isn’t a typical award show. This is our way of recognizing the games that we played last year and really enjoyed with some different if not bizarre categories. Also, we are joined by many awesome people for the board gaming world to help us with the presentations. Some you may know, some you may not, either way, be sure and check out their contributions to the hobby by clicking on the link below.
2017 was another fantastic year in board gaming with an incredible amount of content released. So much content, that we didn’t get all we wanted to the table and we are sure many great games were missed. Please let us know some of your favorites so that we can be sure to try them.
Once again, thanks to everyone who made this another great show and be sure to let Marty know what a terrific job he did in editing this episode. We return in two weeks with the normal stuff and a new segment where we go back and play a game from many years ago.
Perhaps you know my guest Tony Miller better by his moniker “The Bearded Rogue”. A purple haired, bearded board game designer who’s gruff exterior is betrayed by his kind, gentle interior. We talk about games, emotional struggles, podcasting, reviews, and even venture briefly into politics.
Ambie Valdes, of the Boardgame Blitz podcast, joins us in the 3rd chair.
Up first we all discuss the appeal of long form games and Ambie fills us in on the world of 18XX gaming.
Later Ambie, Craig and Russ discuss Escape rooms and why they particularly appeal to gamers.
All that plus:
– Total Fan Girl
– Do You Ever Notice
– App of the Ep

Hey Now Cabalists! In today’s episode Steve and I review the post apocalyptic vehicular combat game, Gaslands! Then we look back at Masmorra one year later. Then after Tony T gives you one of the greatest news rundowns in the history of news rundowns, the gang will do a round table discussion about hidden role and hidden movement games.
Rodge here. Welcome to SAGA THORSDAY – your weekly source for Saga the miniatures game content! This week, I’m chatting Saracens w/ Andy Lyons from the UK!
Welcome to February, the Tuesday of the year (as Andy calls it) as the Polyhedron Collider team recount their adventures from the City of Games convention. We talk about mega Kickstarter Nemesis, melting Jon’s brain with Viticulture and Alchemists, getting down to some family games with Number 9 and eating poisoned chocolates.
Will from Anvil Eight Games is in the studio! The guys preview Adepticon, the greatest four days of miniature gaming, and what Anvil Eight Games has planned for their “home ice”. In the Play It or Slay It review Will tries to convince us why we should all be playing SAGA, the Heroic Age Miniature Skirmish game.
