I know this post is going up at 2pm. But I’m not actually typing it at 2pm. I’m sure you all know that I’m not really frantically typing out posts and making sure to hit the “publish” button right as the hour strikes. No, I get these things put in ahead of time… so I can be frantically typing on some other article I need to write or working on a proofing project or something. 😛
And while doing those other things, I’ll tend to listen to some gaming podcasts. Like which? Like the following…

Episode 4 of Masters of the Forge: Altar of War brings you the second part of a 4-part campaign sponsored by Tablewar. Bill has brought a Canoptek-themed Necron army to play against Adam’s in a narrative battle over one of the Necrons’ forward positions. This was a great game played on the new Tundra FAT Mat using a really fun ruleset.
What twiddles the happy little joysticks of the Nerdherders? Find out in this nostalgia-fueled episode as the boys take you back to the days of the arcade boom with tales of their favorite arcade and pinball games of all time! Also included for your entertainment pleasure is the usual banter about movies, books and games.
Welcome to another episode of Mantic Radio. In this episode, your host Pat ‘Chopper’ Lewis is joined by Andy Meechan, Events and Organized Play Coordinator for Mantic Games.
Welcome to the first official episode of the After Ullanor podcast on the Freebooter’s Network. In this episode, hosts Greg and David review book 11 in the Horus Heresy series, Fallen Angels.
We are finally back on the airwaves and into your ears! Join us as Justin and special guest Teras Cassidy discuss the soon to be released Frostgrave expansion Ulterior Motives. We talk about our first impressions of the new cards and rules, as well as our thought and ideas on fun ways to incorporate them into your Frostgrave Narrative.
And as usual, we have a good long chat about hobby progress as well as some Perils of the Wallet.
We’re definitely excited about this new expansion, and can’t thank Osprey Games enough for the early look!
Suffering from the sleep deprivation that comes from the 3 days at the UK Games Expo, Andy and Steve try to download from their brain everything they saw at the UK Games Expo 2017. They failed, which is why this episode covers just half of the games we saw.
We would like to thank everyone who was involved, we had a great time.
Roy, Matt, & Rob talk about Kickstarter Games! and what we like and dislike about Kickstarter! We also rant about the Asmodee Alliance Exclusivity.
Episode 138 has arrived and Josh joins Bill for a rollicking discussion. The boys start out catching up from the last recording and talking about new games they’ve played recently. We touch on Dark Souls, Incantris, and then dive into a discussion of our game of Rebellion.
Following the Lounge Talk we jump into a topic for the show, Legacy Games and Campaign Games. Josh and Bill talk about their expectations for an upcoming Seafall campaign along with talking in general about their views and expectations for a legacy campaign.
After the long serie of Nephilim episodes, I needed, and maybe so did you, a little light episode. Let’s say a couple random encounters and a couple songs.
While recently in Florence for a weekend, I decided that I should check the local tabletop RPG store.
After googling the area, I happened upon a very nice place called Stratagemma.
They happened to run some Dungeons & Dragons in English on that day. I didn’t met only Cassandra and Sarah, the very friendly owner and one of the regulars. I also met Valerio Amedei author of the novel “La Carne, l’Acciaio e il Vapore” and its tabletop RPG adaptation “L’Ingranaggio/The Gear“.
Have a listen to this episode and step through the doors of Stratagemma in Florence.
People in there have great Italian games and anecdotes to share.
In this jam packed episode we spend time on the new CMON game called Lorenzo il Magnifico. To say it was a unique experience might be putting it somewhat mildly. The game is not hard to learn or play, but there are some really taxing decisions that must be thought through. However, we are not talking analysis paralysis type decisions, but ones where you know what you want to do and you go and do it only to say, “Oh crap, I can’t do that.” We heard that most of the night when playing. What would cause these events? Well, it is the tightness of the resources. This game doesn’t allow for you to squander them away, you really have to be on your toes. Will this game replace any other euro in your collection, we can’t say, but we can say give it a try for sure.
Jonathan Ying is perhaps best known as co-designer of Star Wars: Imperial Assault, but he had his hands in many FFG pies. After the recent release of Doom, he decided to take on the board gaming world as an independent designer, and has successfully kickstarted his first solo release Bargain Quest. Jack and Jonathan talk about innovation, adapting video games, what it’s like to work at FFG, and the importance of never assuming a wookie’s gender.
What better way to kick off summer than with another episode of The Secret Cabal? I cant think of a single way. Today we have a railroad double headers as we review Railroad Revolution from What’s Your Game and then look back at one of our favorite games, Railways of the World. Then after Tony regales us with this amazing newscast, we host yet another short topic extravaganza!
Rodge here aka the Wisco Horndog. Welcome to SAGA THORSDAY – your weekly source for Saga the miniatures game content!
This week, I discuss some Irish Saga Tactics with the Silver Fox (aka John Stentz aka @LordofTeeth)!
In The Face Behind the Lie, Colette and Cassandra make a delivery for Ramos. But all is not as it seems.
Greetings! This month, Greg and Andy are very excited to welcome Mr. Jonathan Parshall to the show to discuss the Battle of Midway, which happened 75 years ago this month. Jon is the webmaster of CombinedFleet.com, the foremost web resource on the Imperial Japanese Navy. He also co-authored the book Shattered Sword: The Untold Story of the Battle of Midway. Later, Andy recounts the experiences he had escorting veterans of the Battle of Midway to commemorative events in the Washington, DC area!
Sir Jon, John and special guest host Lou spend the day at the 3rd CT Festival of Independent Games meeting game designers and playing their stuff. Why did Lou pinch hit? Tune in as Jon fights a case of the Malorts and almost yarfs. From strategy games based on a guitar fret board to a color your own card deck builder, the boys have a grand old time. Stick around to hear notorious crank Jon actually beam about a recently released film and it’s homely star. Listen In!
