Play Unplugged takes a look at the new Dwarf Gyrobomber from Games Workshop in this unboxing article.

Play Unplugged’s Thane Enrico Nardini unboxes the latest in dwarf air superiority, the Gyrobomber from Games Workshop!
Why do all of GW’s models keep getting more and more grandiose? Make that “overblown”.
I’ve really never thought GW models were anything but stupidly over the top. Back in the mid-80’s, it was ridiculous Chaos Warriors with ridiculously stupid swords. That still goes on. But a gyrocopter was always a stupid, cartoony idea. This one is just the latest versionb, but I honestly don’t think it is anymore ‘grandiose.’ Just more detailed.
Or overblown. Basically nothing beats a megasphynx roaming the battlefield. Or whatever the latest oogie is from the Chaos monsters. There are many wrong things with GW. But on ridiculous looking…GW always had that…and it has sold. Well up until recently…
Okay is this game still based on a medieval-fantasy or has it moved into coldwar-fantasy?
WTF…..ok….drug testing should be implemented for GW
yup…..class is not what they got
Gyrocopters have been around for a loooong time. This kit makes a smaller version or the large version pictured; it will be I suspect much easier to assemble and more durable than its two metal predecessors, but also is much more pricey (big shock, right?). I like my dwarves being a bit more tech-savvy than other fantasy races, although choppers are a bit much, in theory, although I confess I have liked all three versions.
On the over-sized swords for Chaos, I actually think Ral Partha was doing that before Citadel. I could be wrong. But I hate that look. Unfortunately, it has become pretty mainstream. Many of Reaper’s figures, Chaos/evil or otherwise, now have goofy weapons.
I don’t like the new one(s) at all. Much too armored, and too “high tech” for WHFB.
I had the old one and the blades were an incredible pain the backside to put and keep together.
