pegaminidesign have posted a preview of the current state of their 28mm Ulkan sci-fi miniature.

Very nice. Hope they will be compatible with Mantic’s Warpath space dwarves

So, Did Mantic steal their designs from Pega Mini, or GW? So hard to tell!

GW hasn’t released a Squat figure in decades and the armoured Squats they did releases a) looked nothing like these and b) looked like hell.

These are nice. Clearly they are inspired by older GW fluff but GW never released anything for the Squats that looked this nice.

Gimme a break. When they came out the Squats looked great. They show their age, for sure.

My post was more about Mantic than GW anyway. I understand the powers that be at TTGN hate GW, and that’s fine, but I’m tired of all the verbal BJs Mantic has been getting for Warpath.

They had the opportunity to create some new, original stuff for Warpath. Instead, they opted for derivitive. That’s not a good thing creatively, IMO.

I am just referring to the Terminator armoured Sqauts since that is what is being displayed here and my opinion is that they looks poorly even compared to GWs current offerings.

Well hardly on topic then. The comments are for the news, not general discussions of subjects. Find a Mantic Space Dwarf news item and make the comment there

TGN is myself and Grant and I doubt Grant ever gives GW a second thought. I don’t hate GW. I don’t like the management as I have made clear many times but I think that the company itself makes some great products. Its just being run by a series if venal and self-interested people who are trying to milk it for as much money as they can to the long-term detriment of the company.
