The Hunter’s Guild is getting a 4-player expansion later this month. The team, that was new in Season II, is getting themselves a new captain, mascot, their first Veteran player, and a new player. I know I’m excited. We get ourselves a bit of preview. It’s not full stats, but a good overview of each player, as well as a look at some of their abilities and Character Plays.

Just seeing the words “Super Mario,” the theme music started playing in my head. I remember getting a Nintendo for Christmas and instantly getting started playing Super Mario Brothers.
… I was terrible at that game. 😛
But maybe I won’t be so bad at Super Mario Level Up!, a new board game coming soon from USAopoloy.

If you believe in Norse mythology, you know that the world will end with Ragnarok (and I say, don’t stop believin’). Well, you don’t have to wait for the end of the world for that to happen. You can head there now (or soon, when you get the book, anyway) with Journey to Ragnarok, a new adventure for 5th Edition up on Kickstarter now.

Columbia Games is looking to fund a new WWII tactical game over on Kickstarter. While there certainly have been many WWII games made over the years, this one looks to be a bit different. The rules are just 12 pages long and the game uses blocks to represent the various units, tanks, and support troops. It gives the game a sort of Stratego vibe, as you’re never 100% sure what’s across the field from you.
Anyway, the game is called Combat Infantry and the campaign is running now.

Salute is coming up soon. It’s an all-out, one day extravaganza. Think of a really huge gaming convention, and then cram all of it into a span of just a single day. That’s Salute. And, obviously, such a big deal means that companies at the show have big deals of their own. Steamforged Games is showing off what they’ll have.

They say that the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence. That includes different planets in a galaxy. What you have, your neighbors want. And what your neighbors have, you want. Warlord Games is gearing up for the next supplement book to come out for Pike & Shotte. To Kill a King will be hitting shelves soon, and it’s a good time to bulk up your forces. As such, you can order a new Storming Party with Petards (with which you can use to hoist them), Armoured Pikemen (can’t really have a game called Pike & Shotte without pikemen), and Sir Bevil Grenville & Anthony Payne.

    Barrels explode.
That’s just what they do. You know it. I know it. Everyone knows it. And yet, so few games actually give you rules for having these incendiary menaces in your game. Well, The Outland Chronicles gives you that info in their first free supplement that has been released. But it’s more than just exploding barrels. There’s also more character options as well as a new mission (that, of course, used exploding barrels).

Any ship has to have a captain. I mean, otherwise, people are just running around, doing whatever they want. In the harsh outer reaches of space, you need someone with a clear and level head to take charge. But if you’re out there, you’d better be bold, as well. That’s just what you get in Captain Jessie Novastar.

With a library of miniatures going back literally decades, Games Workshop couldn’t realistically keep everything they’ve ever made in stock. That’d be ridiculous. But since they aren’t made regularly, some older pieces can be really hard to find. Well, occasionally, GW will dive into the vault and come back out with some models they’re willing to spin up for you. And that’s just what they’re doing now with certain Blood Bowl teams and players.

Well, in the Weird War II setting of Konflikt ’47, that continues on. The Germans have the Zeus Heavy Mechpanzer, while the Russians have the Mammoth Walker. Both are available to pre-order now from Warlord Games.

Though this particular digging is in a dungeon. Dungeon Digger makes you a Dungeon Lord looking to expand your territory and conquer your neighbors. You’ll do this by ordering around your Stooges (henceforth, when I play, I would say that my name’s Iggy) to make intricate tunnels.
The game is up on Kickstarter now.

Thankfully, Asmodee is here to help for those playing Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective with 10 reworked mysteries coming in The Thames Murders and Other Cases.

Who wouldn’t want to be nobility? You get titles and land and prestige and the tabloids following you around all over everywhere. Ok, so maybe that last bit isn’t so great, but the other parts are pretty cool. In Rise to Nobility, you’re looking to stop being just the head of an influential family and break into being actual nobility. You’ll do this by wisely using your resources around town. After 10 rounds, the player with the most victory points will become the head of the Stone Council. The Kickstarter campaign for the game is running now.
