October’s Dark Age Releases Now Available

By Polar_Bear

It’s the start of the month and you know what that means!
“Rent’s due!”
… Ok, yeah, sure, that. But there’s also the latest Dark Age releases available. This month it’s some new Forsaken, including two versions of Saint Mark.

As you can see, we’ve got St. Mark both in “on-foot” form and riding a mechanical dragon.
… Though I’m not sure why you’d decide to not have him riding his mechanical dragon… but that’s me.
Along with that there’s the Weaponsmith, along the Ravage unit, and the Shades (the future’s so dark).
Pick them up now in the CoolMiniOrNot webshop.

Jen did a very good job with his paintjob.

Actually Big Child Creatives handles all the Dark Age stuff from sculpting and casting up to painting. There’s a half finished shot of him on their facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/Bigchild-Creatives-572965212742787/photos/

Not that Jen wouldn’t have done an equally great job.

Unless I’m looking at the wrong picture, that half-finished shot is of a completely different paintjob.

I think they must have ditched that paint job but a shot of their green color scheme for the dragon is on the dark age facebook page.

Also the green paint scheme is the one they used to promote the Templecon pre-release.

So they did two versions of him?

Or did someone else paint up the red one?

          • mathieu

Ben, that’s what I’m saying. The half-finished green picture you were referring to as evidence that the thing hadn’t been “done by Jen” is not the official one we see in this TGN news entry.

I’m not saying the red one hasn’t been painted by Big Child, just that the green picture doesn’t support that. :)

Fair point.I just went straight to the source and asked on their facebook wall. The Dark Age one. Maybe they’ll answer eventually.

If you’re wondering what my stake is in all this it’s just that I met the director of Bigchild at the CMON booth at Gencon and he’s a really nice dude who spent awhile giving me some great pointers. Just wanted to see him/ his staff get credited. :)

Hey, Polar Bear- any chance you could ask someone? You’ve got an in with enough CMON people, maybe you could ask someone who knows for sure?

I’m all for credit where it is due. Honestly, this looks good enough to be Jen’s work, and that’s a compliment to any painter (yes, even the ones who often paint on her level).

From Mr. Black, Bigchild painted both.
