Gamers do like their ninjas. Strong, stealthy, silent assassins going about their various missions in the dead of night. The most daring fights are against enemy ninjas. Two combat masters pitting their skills in a contest where only one will be walking away. And that’s just what you get to recreate in Ninja Arena, up now on Kickstarter.

This is actually part of the Year of New Editions, as Ninja Arena was originally released to great acclaim in Germany. But now those of us who don’t speak German are getting a chance to play the game. Players will select their ninja as well as the equipment they want to use. Actions are determined at the start of the round in secret. You’ll have sets of dice, each with various moves on them, and in various colors that determine the speed of the action you want to take. After everyone has set their moves for the round, you’ll all reveal them at once. Then, following your actions chosen and the location of your enemy, along with the speed of your moves, you’ll fight one-another in the 3D arena.

The Kickstarter campaign is up and running now. It’s set to go for another 34 days.

Neat! Thanks for posting this after my submission.
As I said in my message, it tags a lot of the things that make RoboRally such a great game. But Ninja Arena does away with lasers, assembly lines and power-up stations, adding a third dimension instead.
After playing a few rounds of it at Spiel this year, I have to say I’m intrigued (this coming from a RoboRally veteran). I got creamed the first time I played this, and within two consecutive turns, no less!
It’s a fun little mind boggler, the production quality of the first edition (which was used to demo the game) is top notch, the product sample of the second edition (on hand to pick up and test out) looks very promising and the kickstarter is already up and running!
*I don’t get paid. I really do like this game!

Thank you for spreading the word, that’s what a small publisher like us really needs.
Glad that you like the game even though you got smashed at our booth.
You win some, you lose some :)
But because we designed it as a fast battle game, you can get your revenge really quickly.

      kind regards from germany,
