New Konflikt ’47 Releases Available From Warlord Games
The folks over at Clockwork Goblin and Warlord Games have been busy. They’ve got a whole batch of new Konflikt ’47 releases available over in their webshop. It’s a lot of heavy gear, including a walker, armored transport, and numerous turret emplacements. If you want a place to be well-defended against enemy attack, you’ll be able to do it with these.
As the effectiveness and versatility of the US medium walkers was proven repeatedly in combat, the British Army requested larger numbers through the Allied Lend-Lease arrangement. Deliveries of Grizzly and subsequently Mudskipper medium walkers were welcomed, but the British General Staff procurement officers were hesitant about the more specialised Kodiak and Bruin variants.
As British research and development continue in the embryonic fields of automation and automotive intelligence, the combination of automated control units and armoured vehicles is a logical progression. With no requirement for crew comfort and with a greater tolerance to shock, noise and impact, an automated vehicle offers the opportunity to place larger weapon systems on relatively small, agile and hard to hit platforms.
The directed energy weapons conceived and developed by Nikola Tesla have had an immediate impact on the battlefield. Even heavily-armoured vehicles are vulnerable to electricity and with a dispersion setting, squads of infantry can be attacked just as easily.
To keep control of their recently gained territories, the US has developed the Tesla turret emplacement to secure themselves from any counter-attack.
The gravity manipulation weapons employed by Germany have the ability to alter localised gravity, crushing targets under their own weight, our rapidly altering the gravity in a small space. This can cause rapid failure of mechanical parts and the aftershocks can disrupt a targets ability to operate for a significant time.
These Soviet-designed sonic shock cannons are brutally effective against infantry and unprotected vehicle crews, utilising ultra-low frequencies focussed into an energy pulse that behaves like a battering ram they can disrupt most targets they face.
