Monday Terrain Corner
Well, we’ve had our Wyrd preview for the day. The other thing we have every Monday, then, is our Terrain Corner, where we do our best to make your gaming tables look as good as possible. So you can stop using old textbooks and coffee mugs for your towers and hills.
Today in our feature we have: Brigade Models Release 6mm Research Base, Frosty Plain: Pwork Wargames Fantasy Gaming Mat Now Available, Bonuses Added to Elemental Village Kickstarter, and Algoryn Drop Capsules head down to Xilos.
Our 15mm Research Base buildings have been some of the most popular we’ve released, so it’s natural that
we’d want to produce them in 6mm as well. We have five buildings in this release, including the new (in 15mm)
Although we’ve designated them as a Research Base and we’ve painted ours up as an cold-weather centre
in bright orange colours, there’s no reason why they couldn’t be used in other climates or settings. The
buildings also make a very good barracks set with their resemblance to Nissen or Quonset huts.

The Game Mat Frosty Plain is a PVC or CLOTH made rollable terrain mat, ideal for wargames, in size 4×6’ (122x183cm), 4×4’ (122x122cm), 3×3’ (92x92cm), 3×6′ (92x183cm), representing the scenery of an icy plain, whose snow-covered ground with sharp-edged rocks is inhospitable to anyone who wants to cross It.
The Wargame Mat Frosty Plain offers the possibility of setting battles between armies of miniatures on a bare and impervious landscape, where the environmental conditions of iciness can be more dangerous than any enemy. The mat is a perfect fantasy setting for deploying vast armies, and also ideal for historical fights or science-fiction settings! Are you ready to battle?
We want to make pledging to the Elemental Village a little more interesting, so it’s Bonus Time!
Anybody who pledges $50 or more to the Kickstarter will receive a Free 3D printed item, chosen from one of the four options below.
– Water Dwelling (Normally a $45 Add-On)
– Earth Dwelling (Normally a $50 Add-On)
– Fire Dwelling (Normally a $50 Add-On)
– Mini Verdant Pack (3 Trees, Not Available as an Add-On)
With a special scenario and rules from page 12 in the ‘Battle for Xilos’ campaign, and the first chapter in the forthcoming online campaign, these capsules will illuminate the skies giving you a tactical advantage unlike any Antares battlefield has yet seen!
With 2 distinct variants you’ll have the ability in the 1st scenario to confuse your enemy as to what is about to land in front of them. Will it be troops or a devastating fusillade of weapons fire?
