Mobile Frame Zero is up on Kickstarter. Go and support them!

From the announcement:

Mobile Frame Zero: Rapid Attack is a tense, squad-level game of giant robot combat. Battles are fought by asymmetrical opponents over objectives. But perhaps most importantly, the extreme modifiability of the mobile frames (and the deformability of the terrain) is represented by building them out of LEGO® or other construction toys.

The game is up on Kickstarter now. It raised $10,000 in its first week! The rules are being released under the Creative Commons Noncommercial Share-Alike license if the project reaches $15,000, so back the project if you want to have lots of people to play with!

Really looking forward to the release of this book. Lego wargaming has quite a bit of potential. There are quite a few updates on the Kickstarter page as well as a fast-growing Flickr pool of people building mechs.

Can’t wait to play with LEGOs again!

I wish I still had all my Legos that I gave to my nephew ten years ago. But on the bright side it sounds like they will have kits of all the Mechs for the factions. And then Ships since that is being monkey with as well.

Forgot to add – I was sold by the exclusive instructions for mecha building for backers…
