Today, I Will Never Grow Up Games announced Into the Black: A Game of Space Piracy, a new board game where players take on the roles of hardened space pirates boarding and plundering an unknown star ship in an effort to complete their own secret goals and take over the bridge before their time, and luck, run out!
The game will launch on Kickstarter on Tuesday, May 3rd, 2016 at 5pm Eastern time and the campaign will run for 28 days ending on May 31st.
Into the Black is a sci-fi themed, tile laying, semi-cooperative board game for 1 to 4 players aged 13 and up. The game plays in approximately 45-60 minutes and every game is a different experience with a random tile layout. Multiple lose conditions and few win conditions make for a challenging time. Each player has the opportunity to win individually or as a group and there is the potential for one to sabotage everything, revealing themselves as a traitor upon completion of their own traitor objective.
As we move on to our second round of external play testing before heading to Kickstarter we are looking for people that are interested in joining in this next round of play testing.
Lost Cat Games invites gamers and bad-movie lovers everywhere to participate in Straight to VHS’ free and open beta phase. Straight to VHS is an RPG that indulges in the boundless fun and absurdity of no-good and ridiculous movies of the VHS era.
When the expectation is for the plot to be a shlocky mess and the player characters are cybernetic hobos, gangster preachers, or ninja werewolves… well, we think a great time is guaranteed. Mix and match any two of the provided character tropes to create your B-movie hero and be sure to sneak in the occasional Script Change before the credits roll.
The game is available for free (no account, e-mail address or anything is required) while we continue to refine and expand it in preparation for a final release. We’d love to hear your thoughts so that we can make Straight to VHS the best, most kickin’ game it can be!
