Micro Art Studio have posted new previews of painted sample of their HDF sci-fi catwalk terrain set including photos of the original HDF product.

From their announcement:

We’re proud to show you our new product line – HDF Terrain. The first products from this line should be available next month. We’re starting with si-fi Cat Walk set. It’s fully modular. The parts are so designed that you don’t need to glue them. Also because it’s HDF the parts are really rigid. We plan to expand our product line so stay tuned If you need more technical informations what High Density Fiberboard is then just check here

  • I’m really liking these. I also like how the boards already have a standard peg hole at the top so they’re ready for retailer display. Very clever.
I’m curious as to what pricing will be for these.

WoooooWWWWWWWW!!!! Definitely I will get a ton of these . I’ve seen other HDF / MDF terrain, but none you can compare to these ones. Another great MAS product.

Okay – the plain walkway sections were looking nice but these are AMAZINGLY COOL! Will definitely be looking out for these when they are released. Just hope my paintjob will do them justice!!!

They look great, hopefully they will produce the Infinity buildings soon too.

I hope they will also make table tiles with the HDF too, that would be awesome.

An australian company called Miniature Scenery already does table tiles in MDF, though:

Quality is excellent and combined with MAS catwalks Miniature Scenery stuff will be awsome.

All their sets have standard peg holes for display AND several sprue sets have insisions on each sprue in different place to assure proper packaging.

I am really excited about the MAS catwalks, though.

I know this company, unfortunately they are too expensive (if I factor customs in) for me to get, plus an issue I have is their destroyed sections of the tiles.

That’s why I am hoping MAS will make their own and it will match the bases they already made for infinity, that would be great.
