Mega Miniatures announced that they’re going to be closing up shop later this year.

From the announcement:

Beginning June 1st 2013, Mega Miniatures will begin selling off over 1,000 remaining assets starting with molds and production rights, then moving on to equipment.

Customers have until the end of May to place an order on all current miniature inventories. After that time, products will be removed from the online store as molds sell to new buyers who are lining up as we speak. We will maintain ample metal supplies to fill 100% of all orders placed as the clock ticks down to Mega Miniatures last year in business. If you are interested in buying our molds, please contact Johnny at [email protected]

I would appreciate it if you would get the word out. For more information about our closing, please visit our online store at

I was born at a very young age. I plan on living forever. So far, so good.
  • Oh man that is a shame. Mega Minis have always been great to deal with and it’s been nice to still be able to get some of those classic minis from when I started in the hobby

  • Thraug

Agreed. I bought a lot of minis from them and love them. I may have to make one last super purchase!

Hope Johnny stays in the hobby.

  • Lets face it, I’m in the hobby forever. Just not as a manufacturer anymore once the year ends. Need to focus all my energy on my new job. Miniatures always seem to get in the way. LOL. I don’t have the time to create anything new. Feels sad to sell it all off but the orders are pouring in and the request for molds is strong. Appreciate all the praise.

Good luck with the new job, Johnny!

Always sad to see this kind of story in the hobby. They always sold minis with the gamer in mind, (folks who want figures for gaming and are on a budget). I like statuesque figures as much as the next person but sometimes you just can’t get many for your games.

    Good Luck in the future.

Love them, said to see it go. Guess it’s time to put in one final mega purchase.

  • Johnny is a class act and one of the good guys in this biz. I know his stuff will find homes elsewhere, but I will miss him!
