I sort of feel I’ve missed out on some of the non-information. Would be nice for the next mantic kickstarter if they do a long trail of publicity to remind you there are upcoming teasers which will reveal there will soon be trailers of information about the pre-kickstarter publicity campaign.

I hope that the Kickstarter won’t be filled to the brim with Kickstarter Only stuff, cuz I can’t back them…

I also hope they steer away from finding the Elven Sword of Eternal Epic Awesomeness in the dead hands of some lowly Skeleton, like what you could get in Warhammer Quest… Never liked that.

The Beast of War interviewer brings up a GREAAAAT point (listen to this interview GW) on whether they will use their existing range to create scenarios with for this game… Which makes tons of sense and I never understood GW for not doing as such with whatever game they created, Space Hulk coming to mind as most recent.

    I am interested… I am very interested…

@Daniel – about using the existing range: If you are referring to the game coming as ONLY contents with no miniatures…while that’s good for you, it’s not good for lots of other people. Don’t underestimate the “all in one” value of packaging a game along with the necessary minis and other game pieces. I’m more inclined to invest in a new product if it has everything together in the box required to play the game.

Now, it would be nice if GW would follow in the footsteps of Rackham’s old Hybrid boardgame. That game came with some minis to play the base game, but there were also quite a few models from within the existing miniatures range that could be brought into the board game to expand it…which was nice for people who already owned that stuff.

The 2nd paragraph is exactly what Daniel meant ,if you watched the Beasts of war interview; there will be minis in the box but the question was put to Ronny, will other minis from the mantic range be usable in the game to which the answer was not clear. Though it sounded like there will be some stats for other creatures in the advanced book in the book included in the box.

From the sounds of it there will be expansions (especially if the KS does well) but we’ll see on the flexibilty of their existing minis, though personally even if there are no official rules you can always make you own up.
