There was kind of an explosion of Kickstarters here in the past several weeks. With all the campaigns going on, its easy for one to have slipped by your notice, to you just didn’t have the funds for one because you wanted to back another. It happens. Thankfully, there’s the late-pledge time for many campaigns. If you’re wanting to get in on Mantic’s Kings of War: Vanguard, now’s your chance, even though the Kickstarter’s over. They are taking late pledges now through the month of February.
From the announcement:
Mantic Games is pleased to announce that late pledges are now available for Kings of War: Vanguard. Originally funded on Kickstarter in November last year, Vanguard is the fantasy skirmish game set in the world of Mantica.
Vanguard recreates cinematic, brutal skirmishes between small warbands of handpicked fighters who can develop new abilities and skills. Players carefully select their squad of characters then fight it out to complete life or death missions – that can help turn the tide in the battle to come!
These can be played as one-off narrative missions between elite fighting forces, but Vanguard is also fully compatible with larger games ofKings of War. By linking battles in Vanguard to mass battles – thanks to the innovative interlinked campaign system – victory in Vanguard grants access to better magical artefacts, new units or even the chance to deploy in better positions. Meanwhile, defeat could force units to arrive late or deploymentoptions will be hampered.
There are a number of options available for late pledges. Backers can opt for the massive $150 Giant Pledge, which includes four warbands (Nightstalkers, Basileans, Forces of the Abyss and Northern Alliance), a 180mm plastic fantasy giant, plastic objectives and scenery, hardback rulebook and Kickstarter exclusive Blaine mercenary. That’s 105 miniatures, excluding scenery! Also available is the rulebook-only pledge, two-player starter set and the Join the Vanguard pledge.
