I’m a huge fan of cartoons. It’s interesting to think that each frame of a cartoon was drawn by someone and it’s just that the different drawings are moving quickly in front of me that makes it seem like they’re moving (I know actual pictures are what does that for movies, too, before someone points it out in the comments 😛 ). Just about everyone, at some point in time for an art class in school or something, has made a flip-book. Now, the I AM card game takes that flip-book animation concept and brings it to your tabletops. The game is up now on Kickstarter.
From the campaign:
Each player is dealt 12 cards, which can be changed by drawing or rejecting other cards from the pack. A player wins a single hand by collecting a minimum of 6 matching planet cards, 6 matching Zodiac cards or a run of 6 numbered planet cards. They do not have to declare their hand at this stage however, as they might prefer waiting to collect a full ‘I AM’ hand, which will effectively win the entire game outright! A full ‘I AM’ hand is a run of all 12 matching planet cards, at which point the player declares ‘I AM’ and flips their cards to make them animate!
The Kickstarter is up and running now. It’s set to go for another 29 days.
