GoraxPrivateer Press have posted a preview of the resculpted Hordes Circle Gorax Warbeast.

From their website:

Hulking brutes that fall somewhere between man and beast, gorax serve the Circle Orboros by ripping its enemies limb from limb with their powerful, oversized claws. When wounded, gorax become living embodiments of primal rage, tearing into enemies with unfettered savagery.

  • Snig

wild, unrestained, … much better than the first version.

  • Morf

The single best re-sculpt decision in the history of the miniature world.

  • WAY better, yeah, this guy is beastly, me likey.

This sculpt is magic and its the kind of thing that lures me to collect another hordes faction. Brilliant.

  • Balrog

Amazing miniature. My first “OMFG !” when-facing-a-new-miniature reaction for a long time. I don’t play Orboros and don’t intend to but will buy one for sure. Amazing miniature.

  • I don’t know. The first model wasn’t very popular, but I think I like it better than the resculpt. I’m sure I’m the minority on this one, though. . .

    • My biggest gripe with the now classic gorax was the head. It just didn’t seem to fit in. Mind you I’m not completely sold on this ones head/face yet, but asthetically, I think it’s still leagues above the classics.

  • I kinda don’t like it’s face. But then I just had another gander at the ‘classic’ gorax, vomitted a little in the back of my mouth and now cannot wait for the new one!

Much, much, much overdue. Bring it on! The classic Gorax was about the only Circle mini I loathed.

    Best. Resculpt. Evar!

I like the gorax stat- and animus-wise, but have never ever fielded one because, like Carson, I have trouble keeping food down when I look at it. This is great.

  • Trent

I predict a deluge of the classic sculpts on eBay. 🙂

    • Amarel

Can’t wait – I like the old sculpt and would love to try a Gorax-spam list :).

  • Nice sculpt in everything but the short legs…

  • Bobaxur

I usually hate the “monkey-dog-thing” type of creature … afraid this one’s no exception to the rule …

  • After finally having another gander at the artwork in my Circle book. I can fully appreciate this model now. I love the artwork and really think this mini stays true to it.

  • supervike

It is better than the first one, but still not something for me. However, it does kinda remind me of a ‘Where the Wild Things are” creature.

  • Wow. This is about a million times better than the original.
