I swear this show is just screaming by this year. It’s already the end of Day 3. Today will be the last day for Gen Con 2016. As usual for Gen Con Saturday, it was a whirlwind of activity. There was roaming the hall, taking photos most of the morning and early afternoon. Then there was the media event in the CMON booth. Expect a few more posts about games from that in the morning. My brain’s just too fried to do much more than get you a recap of the photos I posted earlier today.
I love my webcomics. And it’s great to stop and talk with some of the artists and writers who are behind them.
By the way, I hear more games are coming from Blind Ferret.
Using a version of the Bolt Action rules, Kinflikt ’47 takes you to an alternate history where WWII is still being fought long after it would’ve ended in the real world.
Dark Deeds came out at Adepticon and made a huge impact. Now they’re here at Gen Con adding to it. There’s a special Gen Con exclusive pack to add to your set.
Hyborea needs you to save it from all sorts of nasty monsters. Become Conan or one of his allies and save the day. I was able to get some shots of the demo getting set up for the day.
What would be worse? Catching a bad disease, or having your sanity melted away? I guess they’re both pretty nasty. I caught a look at the demo tables for Cthulhu Pandemic here at the show.
Fantasy Flight’s case has changed again! This time with even more goodies.
I also talked a bit with Anton Torres, one of their awesome staff members. He told me a bit about RuneWars.
FFG is really looking to make a great game with this one. The dials system is more refined than other dials games. For example, it’s the maneuver you pick that determines initiative, not the unit, itself. So one type of move might go at one init. value, while another will go at a different init.
It will be cool to see more from this game as time goes on.
Corvus Belli has some of the best minis out there. I always love to see their display case for Infinity. You’re sure in for a treat
All things Munchkin!!
The Steve Jackson booth and display case is all full of everything Munchkin.
Ok, so there’s other cool stuff to see, too.
Halo is a hugely popular series. Well, Spartan Games is showing off their new Ground Command miniatures game here at the show.
Surprises: the figures are pewter and that Pelican is huge!
Dice (a fan favorite, apparently, according to the likes and shares)
The solution to and cause of every gaming problem.
