Spencer brings you an extra long review this time as he gushes over the return of his humble roots to Wargaming with Warzone Resurrection
Blimey, this Guy knows nothing about Warzone, aside from “somebody told me UWZ was crap”what a….
Actually I got started in it back in the 90’s, I just know nothing about Ultimate Warzone.
I played WZ from first edition and it was absolutely awesome! Utterly fantastic as a multi-player game. My joy was without bounds when I heard of Resurrection and I followed the Kickstarter from the beginning and tried the playtest versions.
The deck-building and resource cards absolutely killed it for me. 🙁 I’m not saying that they don’t work okay, it’s just that it’s a dynamic that I don’t want to be bothered with anymore. I really do hope that Prodos succeeds wildly though. The new models really do look fantastic.
I was rather hesitant about it too. It’s actually handled rather well, and like I said; you only really need the resource cards which aren’t too obstructive. Still; I can understand people’s aversion to the cards. Seems more and more games these days are trying to force cards into miniatures games, and I’m not entirely sure how I feel about that.
We’ve got a few model un-boxings done, and more that I need to edit along with more that I need to film. Hopefully I’ll have all those up by the end of next week and then on to painting!
