From the website:

Logan Grimnar epitomizes the noble fury of his people. He is a figure of awe and the warrior king of the Space Wolves. A fearsome warrior with immense martial pride Grimnar never backs down from a fight. Drawn into battle on an ancient relic of the Chapter known as Stormrider and armed with his axe Morkai – an ancient artefact of immense power – the Old Wolf inspires such unshakable loyalty that he has led the Sons of Russ into unimaginable terrors and emerged with victory grasped firmly in his claws.

No comments yet? I thought we’d be hitting our heads on this low hanging fruit.

Meh. More of the same. Its just hard to beat Ragnarr Murderpuss, even if this guy’s riding the Toboggan of Eternally Surly Souls, or somesuch.

I just hate the drag-queen level of bombast all these guys have. “Go big or go home”. I remember back when my head honcho was some guy on a 25mm base, like everybody else. May or may not have terminator armor, who’s scale seems like reasonable, hard sci-fi compared to this stuff. Sigh

That’s simply the dumbset thing I’ve seen for 40K.

This future is so dark it became DumbDark!

The good thing is that they are embracing the original design philosophy of Warhammer in space. The bad thing is that Warhammer got fairly ridiculous.

  • Haibane

Technically it’s a well made model, with well considered design choices and plenty of detail – it’s just the concept itself that’s laughable.

  • Gallahad

I don’t even have the words.

Well, I admit its hard to keep the contenance in the face of this one.

It seems that in the Dark Future they are able to defy gravity, but have forgotten how to propel such a floating wonder of arcane technic. At least the wolves can drag him towards the enemy, so that he can use his giant axe – providing the opponent ignores the wolves, has no ranged weaponry and does not simply lay down.

On the pro side, I counted just three skulls.

It’s not even worth it anymore. GW has gone full retard.

What happens when the wolves stop moving and the chariot’s inertia means it doesn’t? No solid yoke and ol’ Logan doesn’t look like he has any brakes on that thing. Poor wolves. 🙁

    • Soulfinger

He controls the chariot. The wolves are just attached for decoration, kind of like the dog in National Lampoon’s Family Vacation.

      • It’s just National Lampoon’s Vacation, not Family Vacation.

        • Soulfinger

I got used to saying “Family” so that people won’t ask, “Which one?”

          • You need to stop associating with those people.

          • Soulfinger

Divorce papers served. Thanks for the push I needed.

    Logan Griswold then?

The good thing is that they are embracing the original design philosophy of Warhammer in space…

No, That would mean “dwarves”, and we all know what blasphemy that is.

  • He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle,
And away they all flew like a bolt from a pistol.
But I heard him exclaim, ‘ere he drove out of sight,
“Bloody Grimdark to all, and to all a good fight!”

      Two Thumbs errr Paws up!!

  • This!!

  • Chameleon

Now if I paint the nose of one of the wolves red, then give him a pointy, red, non-Astartes helmet… nah. This model is awful even as a joke piece.

In the grim darkness of the far future, there is only wolf-drawn bathtubs
