Freebooter Miniatures is in their final week on Indiegogo. They’ve made it well past their funding goal, but there’s always more that can be added on.

From the update:

We are now in the final week of our 10-year anniversary Indiegogo project and so we thought it was time to make some changes for the final stretch.

First of all, we have added a new perk. It is a well-known fact that we at Freebooter Miniatures love us some shiny metally goodness. So we thought about whether there was any way of making the miniatures even shinier and, um, more metally. And we have found one. The result is a version of the Freebooter goblin captain cast in solid fine silver (935) for the serious collector. Not just silver-plated: solid silver. They are engraved with their individual number and highly limited, so make sure you get your single-digit one now.

Moreover, we have reworked the perks with the painted miniature, because we appear to have set the pledge amounts too high the first time round. These perks now contain a single miniature, painted either by Rafael Urbanski or Jennifer Haley. Jennifer has also kindly agreed to paint any miniature from the Indiegogo campaign, including, if you want, any additional modifications from stretchgoals achieved at campaign end (excluding separate sidekick characters on separate bases).

So, if you haven’t seen it yet, go to the campaign and have a look around. Have we mentioned that most of these miniatures are highly limited? Pledge now and save yourself the agony of missing out.

How come this isn’t getting the same hue and cry the other thread is about established companies using crowdfunding for products they could produce on their own?

Anyone else think Freebooters stuff is a little pricey? 16-18 for a single fig? Their stuff is nice, but Reaper has some pretty boss pirate minis in the 5-10 range.
