Freebooter Miniatures 10 year anniversary Indiegogo campaign launched (and funded!)
Freebooter Miniatures is ten years old (*sniffle* they grow up so fast!) and in celebration, they’ve launched an Indiegogo campaign to fund a special line of Freebooter’s Fate Legends miniatures. They’ve already met their goal, so it’s stretch goals from here on out.
From the update:
We’ve been in business for ten years now! Arrr! and so forth.
What better way for a miniatures company to celebrate such an occasion than to release a special limited edition miniature set? Exactly. So that’s what we did. And, because we are in a celebratory mood, postage is free. Worldwide.
We called it Freebooter’s Fate Legends, because that’s what they are. Characters who have left their mark on the world of Freebooter’s Fate in their own special way. And yes, these characters do come with rules and cards for Freebooter’s Fate, so they can be used in your games as well.
Because we had so many ideas for gnarly characters and options, we decided to set up a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo, so people could decide exactly how much they wanted to get involved. You find the campaign at http://www.indiegogo.com/FreebooterLegends.
Most of the miniatures will only be available on Indiegogo, but the basic set will also continue to be sold – albeit at a higher price – throughout our anniversary year, i.e. until October next year.
At the time of writing, we hit our minimum funding level just 28 hours after launch and are just about to hit the third stretch goal, so you can contribute in confidence, knowing that not only will the project definitely be happening but also with a high likelihood of more stretchgoals being reached (usually meaning bonus bits to certain contribution levels being added).
So come on, do your bit. Loosen those purse strings. Is this really an opportunity you can afford to miss out on? Do you really want to be suffering from regretful envy next year when everybody else is showing off their shiny metally goodness, leaving you to wish you had got in on it when you had the chance? Of course you don’t. Arrr! 🙂
