CMON Expo Event Spotlight: Frankenfest!

n the vein of Dr. Frankenstein who stitched together a monstrous masterpiece from parts of broken bodies comes Fankenfest! Cool Mini Or Not is excited to be hosting this unusual, yet hilariously creative event! Contestants will create their own absurd monstrosity by gluing together random pieces from dozens of different miniatures. Then they will paint and base their creation over the course of the weekend. Creation will be judged on three qualities: paint job, art direction, and how dumb it looks fully assembled, but don’t be fooled, what you create from those pieces is entirely up to you! The only restriction is that the models bust be assembled, painted and based by Sunday’s deadline.

I was born at a very young age. I plan on living forever. So far, so good.

Hosted by Kingdom Death and Absolut vodka! First place prize is a dead cat.

    • Why a dead cat? Is that what’s in the box? Then it could be alive – you can never be sure until Morgan Freeman ruins the fun.

Why not a dead cat? I dunno. Walking my son to school each morning, I see a lot of dead animals, so they’re on my mind. Also, for some reason, there was a shopping cart full of caramel animals abandoned outside for the past three months, like their vagrant owner had died of diabetes or something. This week, it was a mummified squirrel. I keep forgetting to place the “Free to Good Home” sign. Maybe make him a little hat.

A lot of dead animals? Do you live in Centralia, Pennsylvania?

          • Soulfinger

Just a small Indiana town with a vindictive squirrel mafia.

          • Heh, I wistfully read your hat making proposition as “Maybe make him in to a little hat.” I am sure the sign would be superfluous if that were the case.

          • Soulfinger

If I make it into a hat then what am I supposed to do with his tiny cane and cummerbund?

          • You can use the cummerbund as the hat brim.

  • It’s Schrodinger’s cat syndrome:

    • You win a squirrel hat.

Brought to mind that scene from Rat Race. “You should have bought a squirrel”
