Forge World now has Tartaros Pattern Terminator Armor up on their website. What do you guys think?

From the update:

Tactical Dreadnought Armour, or Terminator Armour as it is more usually known, is the most resilient form of personal protection available to the Adeptus Astartes. Originally developed during the closing years of the Great Crusade, and adapted from the heaviest of industrial gear, several types and patterns were developed concurrently.

Of these, the Indomitus pattern is perhaps the most widespread, due to its template being held on key Forge Worlds such as Mars, although Tartaros Pattern Terminator armour is also issued to the Veterans of a Chapter’s 1st Company.

    5 x FW specialty resin terminators = $57
    5 x GW mass production terminators = $50
The day of GW/FW price parity grows ever closer.

      No kidding.

I suspect that GW is on the verge of absorbing FW like they did Citadel back in the day. It makes sense with the move to resin for their regular production line, and the sudden drop in quality and innovation from FW would certainly be an indicator.

I didn’t realize GW produced separate product when they also had the Citadel line still running…. how were they differentiated?

Citadel was the company that made miniatures for GW’s games, owned by Brian Ansell (IIRC). The merged but GW kept the Citadel brand for their miniature line, but they are effectively the same company.

Forge World’s HQ and manufacturing is in the Lenton GW HQ, has been since around 2007. FW is already part of GW, it just has a bit more “autonomy”.

Drop in quality and innovation? Really? The new minotaurs models, the skin wolves, the basilisk, the warp fire dragon, etc, etc would all beg to differ.

I concur I do not see any drop in quality either. I know “Liking” something is subjective so no one can ever really be wrong but I feel like if you titled the release PP makes new “Storm Blades” or whatever there would be much fewer negative comments. These mini’s look great to me.

I think the key point on this thread is price Gw+ FW. It is the Apocolypse…..

These look great. After a LONG time, FW/GW have finally catered to the people who like the Horus Heresy. More! More! More!

I like them. i like the concept that it looks like armour over armour.
