Fantasy Flight Games Announces Mansions of Madness Expansions

As we’ve seen, Mansions of Madness is getting a new edition. This new set makes the game into a 100% cooperative game, using an app to control all the monsters and create the map. But what about some of the 1st edition things that weren’t in the main box? Will those be getting updated? Fantasy Flight answers that with the announcement of some new expansions for the 2nd edition game.

These various sets will bring you new options for your games, from new tiles to explore during your games, to new monsters to fight, to new investigators with which to fight said monsters. And if you want your set to be a bit more colorful, but don’t really want to paint your figures yourself, they’re going to be coming out with premium, pre-painted monster sets.

I am now officially sold on Second Edition. I never got into this game with the first edition, but now I’m jumping in.

Me too. I’ve had the first edition on my gaming shelf for a year and a half. Not played once. Simply because of the high learning curve and asymmetric gameplay that noneven of my friends were ever int . I’ve already played 3 games of 2nd edition just solo and absolutely love it! Now I’ll finally get use of those 1st edition tiles, monsters and investigators at least!
