One of the longest-running RPGs is up on Kickstarter looking to get an English edition printed. It’s The Dark Eye and it’s Europe’s most popular fantasy RPG. It’s been in print for more than 30 years and it’s now looking to make its way into English-speaking households.
With the legacy of all those years of continuous play, The Dark Eye is a fantasy setting that’s fully adaptable to what you want to play. High Fantasy? Check. Barbarian adventures? Check. Medieval intrigue? Check. And on and on. This new version is made by veterans of the gaming industry who have taken all the feedback and suggestions of players from over 3 decades and put them together in one place (with, like, lots of editing, of course).
The Kickstarter campaign’s doing rather well. They’re closing in on 7x funded (if they haven’t already made it there by the time you read this) with still 15 days left to go.
