Dungeon Command was reviewed by Play Unplugged yesterday and now by Play Board Games today. See how the games stacked up in the eyes of another reviewer. Getting a second opinion is never a bad idea.

From the review:

Dungeon Command is a card-driven miniatures skirmish game. Set in the world of Dungeons and Dragons, two factions have been released: the Drow and the Heroes of Cormyr.

I was born at a very young age. I plan on living forever. So far, so good.
  • So, these are tabletop mini type games? Each pack is a single force, right, not a complete game, right? Each player will need a force to play, in other words.

Neither of the reviews really come out and say it, but it’s sort of implied.

Two can play with one just box but you’ll have to split the force (which is explained in the rules) and the map will be smaller. I tried it that way but the experience is far better if you have two forces going head-to-head and a full-size map.

And if you want to be competitive you have to buy multiple sets, since it’s a constructible game… both in miniatures selection and card deck.
