Dubreq has launched a Kickstarter campaign in order to fund Mechabrick – Gangs of Neon City, their game system that employs a rather well-known set of children’s building block toys.

From the campaign:

Mechabrick is a range of precision moulded plastic kits to convert your minifigs into 1/144 scale fighting robots or ‘mecha’. You can upgrade your mechs with weapons and accessories and then battle for supremacy in a fast-paced board game using buildings and scenery built from your favourite plastic toy building bricks.

Interesting timing. I was just at a Lego…. err… popular children’s block expo this weekend and kinda wondered why nobody tried capitalizing on them yet
