I was born at a very young age. I plan on living forever. So far, so good.

Nice looking sculpts – humans look well-proportioned (reminiscent of Confrontation) and the Orcs have that long, sloped face that reminds me of Paul Bonner’s art for early 90s GW, although they could do with a little more stupidity in their expessions ^^

Huh, I for one find the sculpts appalling. Not nearly as sharp details as Confrontation, and the poses are either stiff or awkward.

The one thing I was looking forward to in this KS is to see how their elf concept — which was the only thing even remotely creative they’d come up with — would turn into a miniature. Instead they turned their elves into the same exact dark elves everybody else has already made. And the same goes with their orcs, dwarves, and humans.

The creativity unfortunately remains very low on this project.

  • The minis look fine to me, if nothing new in concept, but that Universal Action Table seems rather directly inspired by the 4th Ed Confrontation and AT-43 Universal Table of Resolution system.

That was the first thing I thought of as well. It’s almost exactly the Universal Table of Resolution

I like the style of the miniatures. It reminds me of the more mundane rank and file minis from confrontation. I like this style far more than Kings of War, which to me is all over the top stuff.

The table is the same concept, but of course extended to d10 and not d6 like was in Con-43… but to be honest that’s not a bad thing. Easy enough to memorize after one game.
