A photo of the upcoming 40K Dark Eldar Razorwing has been leaked. The kit is rumoured to be available for pre-order starting May 25th, 2011.

Dark Eldar Razorwing

  • Zac

Looks rather like a Mirage or a J35 Draken

  • Natakue

To be honest…I do not like. Im not sure why just yet…but I do not like it.

  • Marauder

I’m not sure why either, but I really like them.

  • Trent

I really like it. Not sure about the size, but it looks like it could be converted to a Nightwing by shaving down some of the spiky elements.

  • BlueWeasel

It has potential. I’d want to fill in all those 2/3rd oval gaps in the trailing edge of the wings for starters.

Not sure if I’d want to trim back the nose along the panel lines or fill in the gap
    that is front and center.

Every surface that hooks forward I would want to slope backwards instead.

    • Trent

The forward hook is a Dark Eldar trademark. I prefer Craftworld space elves myself, but I can see how the aircraft is made distinct by the use of the forward swept surfaces.

  • Mananarepublic

I really like them, and I like all the new flyers being available in plastic – now I just have to keep my fingers crossed for a scorpion grav tank kit (even though it isn’t a flyer :-)).

  • Don’t really like them.
I can’t help but finding their look retro sci-fi (by contrast with the rest of the army).

  • I hearing that next edition “flyers” will be big.

Though where they will fit on an already crowded 4X6 table….

    • Zac

There is also the rumoured “Summer of Flyers” which is supposed to be like the Spearhead rules they released

      • Osbad

More and more of the rumour-mongers that I trust on the various forums and podcasts out there seem to be nay-saying the “Summer of Flyers”. I think the odds are rising on the chance of that now.

    • Looks amazing. If I had the cash, I’d own every Eldar flyer, Dark or otherwise.

  • T34

All these flyers stuffed onto standard 4×6/4×8 tables is getting a bit ridiculous. They’d buzz past that patch of dirt in seconds. 40K games just look goofy now.

    Resurrect Epic scale instead!

All said, the Dark Eldar range is mighty nice.

    • I’m all about a resurrected, well supported EPIC range, even though I’m still not a big fan of the new rules.
