CMON Previews Lannisters Guards Sculpts for A Song of Ice and Fire Miniatures Game

When you’re wealthy, you can trick out your troops with the best. That’s just what the Lannisters do in A Song of Ice and Fire Miniatures Game coming from CMON. Their swordsmen have better arms and armor than just about anyone else out there. Though, since you can’t spend money when you’re dead, they don’t always stick around to see that armor get bloodied. It’s a fine balance that commanders will have to maintain when running them as a faction. In this preview, we get a look at some of the sculpts for the Lannister Guards.

From the preview:

The world over knows the extent of Lannister wealth, and its influence extends to even their most basic foot soldiers. Among the best armed and armored, the Lannister Guards enjoy a battlefield superiority unlike any other. A Song of Ice and Fire: Tabletop Miniatures Game is coming to Kickstarter later in 2017.

Miniatures depicted are 3D renders.

They look good, but I can’t imagine painting them to any decent degree. The fourth helmet is going to be a cluster. Or, rather, the helmet-to-shoulders.

I don’t see the problem. The composition looks fine to me. It would probably be best composed in NMM so that you can really bring out those metals, but I could compose them with MM and they’d look great.

I pretty much always prefer minis with faces over helmets, but I really think they could all work well.

Perhaps I’m just showing my inability to paint more than anything. 😉

Do we know what material these minis will be? I’m figuring it would be plastic- but would it be PVC, Polystyrene or ABT?
