CMON Expo continues to make its way towards us (bravely fighting through two Friday the 13ths to do so!). We’ve posted up a new update, showing off two new events as well as a spotlight on Eric Lang, one of our special guests for the show!
If you’re a fan of Zombicide or HeroClix, you’ll want to see what we’ve got in store.
From the announcement:
Hey there everyone!
It’s Friday, and so that means another update about what’s in store for the CMON Expo! We’re just 3 short months away. Things are really kicking into high-gear here behind the scenes.
Anyway, for this week, we’ve got a pair of new events, as well as a special guest spotlight.
First, the heroes. We have the Heroclix Realms Open Championship Super Qualifier
In continuation off the 2015 TCGPlayer.com Realms Open Championship (ROC), we are happy to announce that the CMON Expo will host a Super Qualifier event for the 2015 season!
Take a step towards the 2015 TCGPlayer.com ROC Championship and a part of $15,000!
Starting Saturday at 1PM with no entry fee.
That’s right, no cost to enter. Expect the full Super Qualifier prize package too.
Format: Standard 300pts Modern
Second, the zombies. We’ll be running the Zombicide- Prison Mall Toxic Break Out.
Prison Mall Toxic Outbreak is a truly EPIC game of Zombicide. In this event, you’ll Take the part of one of the many survivors trapped in the mall located adjacent to the local prison as the Zombie outbreak happens. Will the prison offer safety or is it the source of the outbreak? This game will feature both seasons 1 and 2 of Zombicide as well as the Expansion. Can you find out what was going on inside the prison before it’s too late? Will you secure a safe haven and source of supply or merely become another part of the threat against your fellow survivors!
The event will run on Saturday from 6pm-Midnight and has a maximum of 16 players.
And last, but not least, we have our resident panda enthusiast, Eric Lang.
Eric M. Lang has a long list of games he’s either designed or consulted on, including Warhammer 40K Conquest LCG, XCOM: The Board Game, Duelyst online tactical TCG, and Blood Rage. As such, Eric can offer an endless supply of advice for anyone interested in getting into the game design and development field, but what Eric really likes to do at CMON Expo is sit players down and show them all the ins and out of his new game Kaosball. It doesn’t hurt that while teaching Kaosball Eric tends to destroy his opponents, but who knows, maybe that’ll change this year.
Eric’s always fun to hang out with. Be sure to get your photo taken with him at the show. Just beware, he’s a champion bunny-ear-giver.
That’s the update for this week. Be sure to keep an eye out for our next announcement and be sure to save the date to be here in Atlanta for the CMON Expo!
