I was born at a very young age. I plan on living forever. So far, so good.

Is it just me, or does the whole concept of showing off WIP figures seem counter intuitive when the figure doesn’t have a head? It’s the wrong market for enticing people with glimpses of legs and torsos.

  • It’s to show folks what we’re working on, and if someone has a cool idea we’re still at a stage where we can incorporate that.

I think some folks (including myself) like to see the process as well.

And, If I get feedback that everyone HATES what they see so far, then things can be tweaked as well without too much work going down the drain.

So far, everyone has really liked the direction this is going, which i’m very happy about (and agree with! 🙂 )

That’s the reasoning behind the WIP previews.

I hate him not having a head. 🙂

I get what you are saying. I suppose for me it is just too much of a WIP at this stage for a news release (but certainly not a Facebook/website announcement) to draw in someone like me who isn’t already invested in your products. The positioning of something as basic as sausage arms and a dummy head give context to the torso and legs. For example, if this guy ends up with arms held at right angles and a strained facial expression, paired with those slightly bent legs, then he is going to look like someone who desperately needs to poop. There are plenty of figs like that, and I rarely let it slide like back in the day with my Rogue Trader beakie marines.

I’m glad things are going in a direction you are happy with, and there are some great pics on your FB page.

      • Thanks 🙂 I promise, the next preview I put out, I’ll make sure it has a head 😉
