Hawgleg Publishing have announced the release of their new Deadwood range of undead coyboys and accessories in advance of a new horror/western ruleset.

From their website:
“We’ve had the miniatures ready to go for about a year now, and I think the graves have been ready even longer than that,” Mitchell revealed. “Our original plan was to hold these back and release everything with the rule book. But, after talking it over amongst ourselves, we’ve decided to just put it all out there right now.”
The miniatures pack includes four, unpainted 25mm undead cowboys and one “dead zombie” marker, for a total of five different figures. This pack will sell for $10 at the convention, or until supplies run out. Since these were cast before the recent increases in metal prices, the price will be slightly higher when they are recast in the future.

Hawgleg Publishing have posted a new winner in their Showdowns & Shootouts adventure contest. This latest adventure for Gutshot, Klaus Needs a Holiday, is available for download from the contest winners page.
From their website:
The adventure focuses on Klaus Kringowski, the barrel-chested blacksmith with a laugh as big as his belly. All through the year, Klaus tinkers with wood and metal to make ingenious toys for the good girls and boys. Every Christmas he loads up his mule cart - pulled by trusty old Rudy - and delivers ‘em throughout the county. It’s become a tradition that spreads a little joy into the hard lives of the solid frontier folk in them parts, and it’s just one of the reasons Klaus is beloved by everyone… except Cole Black and his no-good band of thugs who are gonna do their dangdest to make sure that Christmas ain’t gonna come this year!

Hawgleg Publishing have announced that they have acquired the Arnica Montana range of resin western buildings.

From their website:
Hawgleg Publishing is pleased – and proud – to announce that it has acquired the rights to the Arnica Montana Real Estate 25mm resin buildings. The deal includes the name, Website, and worldwide distribution rights to about 30 buildings and accessories for gaming in the Wild West.
Within the week, ownership of the Arnica Website, www.arnicarealestate.com, will be transferred to Hawgleg. When that happens, a new Website will be launched and sales will be suspended for 1-2 months while the molds, masters, and other materials are shipped to Texas and Hawgleg completes setting up its casting facilities.
“We’ve been talking about this for a while, now, working out details that would make this an easy transition for us and for the many fans of the Arnica Montana products” said Hawgleg co-founder Mike Mitchell. “Now that it’s finally happening, we’re ready to bust out whoopin’ and hollerin’ with excitement.”
Arnica creator Mike McGraw is in the last stages of packaging and shipping all outstanding orders. The deal does not include transferring any customer lists or sales information – this will be a straight-up change of ownership, with Hawgleg taking full charge and being responsible for casting and shipping all future orders.
Check out their site for full details.

The Legends of the Old West Yahoo Group is holding a scenario contest that will be judged by LotOW author Mark Mark Latham.
From the Warhammer Historical blog
Over on the Legends of the Old West Yahoo group, moderator Bryan Glasspool has started a scenario contest. The idea is you write a scenario for LOTOW, based on your favourite movie scene, novel, computer game level, real past-life experiences, or whatever, and submit it to Bryan via the group.
The winning entry, as judged by yours truly and the moderators (I call ‘em my Regulators), will not only gain ‘official’ (cringe) status on the Warhammer Historical website, but will also receive an actual, physical prize. Mosey on over to the group to find out more.

Knuckleduster have announced two new miniature releases today.
From their website:
I have two new packs of figures available this week. First, I have a set of three cowboys that go nicely with the set I released earlier this year. These hombres include a figure with a lasso, one that resembles Billy the Kid, and one loading his six-shooter. The second pack is a set of bison (buffalo) to scatter over your prairie scene (these will also work well for an S-Gauge model railroad layout).

Knuckleduster have announced the release of two new western miniatures as well as the addition of new gaming mats to their online store.

From their website:
I’ve just posted two new figure sets. They are mounted cowhands to match a couple of the figures in set OW-023.
Mounted Cowboy with Shotgun
Mounted Cowboy with Lemat
I’ve also picked up a line of flocked game mats. I’m carrying two varieties: green and desert tan. They are 4×6 feet, and the flock is adhered very securely. This line of mats has been around a long time under various names, and has a reputation as a durable and good-looking way to set off the figures and terrain you’ve worked so hard to prepare.

Black Scorpion Miniatures have released several new figures today including new Tombstone and Pirate releases.

Image cropped to show only three of the five figures in the pack
From their announcement:
We have a number of new releases and updates. You’ll find a new ‘extras’ page on the site for things like glue and bases etc.. More to be added.
We’ve also added a pack of 2 SAW gunners to the US Marines so people can add them to their units.
These releases are available to order but we’re awaiting the castings, so we don’t expect to have them for the Wales show this weekend:
We will soon be putting the Legends of the High Seas book up for pre order. I hear it’s not available until mid February. It’s worth getting from us as we’ll be giving a free cabin boy away with it as seen on our workbench.

The sun was just coming up as the Sheriff looked up and down the dusty Main Street of Drygulch. The Double Diamond ranch had just finished a long cattle drive and all the hands were in town waiting for the bank to open so they could get paid and have a good time. And if a long, rowdy night ahead weren’t enough to put some sand in the Sheriff’s craw, there’s that prisoner sittin’ in the jail cell waiting to be hanged tomorrow and all them rumors about how his brother aims ta bust him out.
