So… it’s Monday.
Maybe we shouldn’t dwell on that, but, instead remember the games we all (hopefully) played on the weekend. Heck, my gaming started before I even left the office on Friday with a game of the Bloodborne Card Game. Then a game of Guild Ball on Saturday. Always wanting to get in more games of that. Plus, there’s always looking forward to next weekend’s games… and the terrain they’ll be using. And with that, we go to the Terrain Corner.
Today we have: Anvil Eight Previews Rhommox Faction Pylon, ShipWorks 3d Printable Ship Terrain Up on Kickstarter, Operation Alpha: SciFi Gaming Mat Available from Pwork Wargame, and Return Of The Gaming Mat From Battlefront.
It’s another Thursday. Still haven’t gotten a handle on Thursdays. But we’ll make it through to the weekend soon. Just gotta put our heads down and power through. It’s a quick Terrain Corner for you today.
We’ve got: Resin Cast Mob Football Goals Up On Kickstarter
Well, not every day can be the weekend, I suppose. You need a week to have a weekend. And if you have something, then you have the start of something. So, as it happens, Monday is the start of the week.
Ok, so my overly-long-winded way of saying, “It’s Monday again” is out of the way, let’s get to those terrain articles.
Today in the Terrain Corner we have: Sally 4th Plot Point of the Month – Chinese Altar, Hartenstein Hotel Available From Warlord Games, and Hellgate Gaming Mat Available From Pwork Wargame.
Ooof, it was not the best of weekends, having been sick. Thankfully, even though it’s still pretty early in the morning (as I’m typing this up, anyway), I’m feeling better now. I think I turned a corner on it overnight. We’ll see how the rest of the day goes. I need to heal up. Gotta be ready for my friend to come over next weekend and do some gaming. Also, we’ve got our regular terrain feature for you today.
In the Terrain Corner we’ve got: Axolote Tiles Up On Kickstarter and Woodland Gaming Mat Available From Pwork Wargame.
Well… I’m sick. Woke up this morning feeling worse than I went to bed last night. So, if you get a virus alert when you look at TGN today, just wipe it down with some Lysol and you’ll be fine. (ok, actually, if you get a virus alert when you open up TGN, lemme know because that means something’s seriously wrong O,o)
So, while I chug this orange juice, work on this bottle of Dayquil, and heat up another bowl of soup, you should check out these terrain articles.
Today in the Terrain Corner we have: Overpass Available From Battlefront, Heroic Maps – Modular Kit: Dry Ravine Bundle Now Available, New Pulp Era Caravan kit from Sally 4th, Brigade Models Releases New 6mm SF Buildings, and Heroic Maps – Drabdon City Sewer Now Available
Well, it’s back to the old grindstone. But we’ll always have the memories of the weekend that just went by. I hope you got some gaming in. I did. I tried out Photosynthesis, as well as taught Guild Ball to a friend. It was a good time had by all. But now the focus is on next weekend, and whatever cool games I’ll be playing then. They might require terrain. And, if they do, I want it to look good. So, without further ado…
Today in the Terrain Corner we have: Wild West Exodus Previews New Terrain, Fantasy Flight Games Releases Playmat For Twilight Imperium, New Dunes Planet Space Gaming Mat Available From Deep-Cut Studio, and New Plastic Box Sets Available From Tabletop-Art.
The weekend’s almost here! As always, I really can’t wait. A friend’s coming in from out of town to hang out and play games for a week or so. It’s Game Day up at the Milton Library this Saturday (if you’re in the Atlanta area, be sure to stop by and say hi). Since we’ll be gaming, there will be some terrain out there. And we want that terrain to look good.
Today in the Terrain Corner we have: TinkerTurf Terain Up On Kickstarter, New Containers and Crates Available From Tabletop Scenics, New MDF Terrain From Pwork Wargame, North Pass Gaming Mat Available from Pwork Wargame, and Wyrd Previews New Terrain.
Ok, now I can finally talk about Thursday’s Terrain Corner, because it’s actually Thursday. While I still woke up thinking it was Friday, my mind’s recalibrated and it actually does feel like a Thursday (being in my Thursday shirt helps, though I was also in my Wednesday shirt yesterday and that still had me feeling off, so there’s that). Anyway, with a long weekend for many of us coming up, I hope you’ll have some time to game. And, when gaming, it’s good to have good looking gaming tables.
In the Terrain Corner today we have: New Kits Available To Pre-order From Plastcraft, New Battle Map Available For for Memoir ’44, MapForge Battle Map Creator Up On Indiegogo, and Dark Gotham Gaming Mat Available From Pwork Wargame.
So, there’s currently a storm absolutely blanketing the East coast in all sorts of wintery weather. Stay safe out there, everyone. Might just want to hunker in the bunker and play some games. And while it might be too late to get these terrain pieces for the current winter weather storm, you might just want to pick them up for the next time you get snowed in.
Today in the Terrain Corner we’ve got: Industrial Ruins Gaming Mat Available From Pwork Wargame, Heroic Maps – Castillo de la Costa Rocosa Bundle Now Available, and Tabletop Scenics Previews New Terrain.
The work week continues on. I hope yours is going well. It’s certainly busy over here, but such is the end of the year. Lots of exciting products coming out next year to work on. But it’s not only future things, but things available now. In fact, let’s make sure your gaming tables look good for any minis you might be getting in the next week.
Today in the Terrain Corner we have: New Website and Products Available From DerekPages, New Orc Strongpoint Available From Tabletop Scenics, and RPG Fantasy Maps Up On Kickstarter.
Back in the office after a busy weekend. How busy? Well, I made 2 fruitcakes, 2 batches of chocolate chip cookies, 2 batches of gingerbread cookies, 2 batches of cinnamon nuts, and then 1 batch each of salted caramel dark chocolate brownies, chip ‘n’ mint cookies, nutmeg sugar cookies with egg nog frosting, candy cane cookies, and an extra batch of that egg nog frosting to put on the other cookies. … Like I said, I was busy.
So, while my coworkers chow down on the fruit(cakes) of my labor, let’s get your gaming tables looking good.
Today we have: Wyrd Previews New Terrain, New Footbridges and Road bridges from Sally 4th, Heroic Maps – Giant Maps: Ice Base Khione Now Available, and Erdhexe Battlemat Now Available From Warzone Studio.
It’s not just any Thursday. It’s also the anniversary of my first post on TGN. 6 years ago, I told you about the new plastic Warp Wolf kit coming from Privateer Press. That was 26,284 posts ago. Oh, how times change. What will the future hold? It’s hard to say. But I do have shades.
I also have a couple stories to make sure your gaming table looks better than it did back in 2011.
In the Terrain Corner today we have: Roman Buildings Bundles Available From Warlord Games, Heroic Maps – Storeys: Scrivener Street, New Fence Pieces Available From Acheson Creations, Gunfighter’s Ball Wild West Mat Stretch Goal Added To Kickstarter, and New Underhive game mat release from Deep-Cut Studio.
I survived the Snowpocalypse here in Atlanta. And I’m one of the lucky ones that never lost power (for more than just a flicker, anyway). I’ve got some friends that are still without. Hopefully they’ll get it back soon. And I hope all of you had a chance to enjoy the winter wonderland (if it occurred near you). And while I can’t say that these terrain stories will turn your gaming table into a winter wonderland, they will make them look nice.
Today we have: Tabletop Scenics Caption Contest Happening Now, Two Holiday Playmats Available From Fantasy Flight, Power VTT Launches Asset Subscription For Battlemap Building, and Sally 4th Running Modern African Wargames Terrain Kickstarter.
This week just continues to roll along. There’s now 2 of us in the office with Santa hats on. And we’ve got Burl Ives playing on the radio. It’s a good time had by all.
It’s also getting really cold out. Being proper Atlantans, the mere mention of cold weather, and a tiny prospect for precipitation, has sent people into a panic. But while people hole up in their homes, preparing to be snowed in for centuries (we might get a bit of cold rain), best to make sure whatever gaming tables you’ve got with you look good.
Today in the Terrain Corner we have: New Concrete Play Mat From Deep-Cut Studio
Back in the office after a busy weekend. Heck, I was just here the other day, helping to pick and pack orders (or “the ol’ P’ n’ P'” as they apparently don’t call it, much to my disappointment). But it’s back to the regular desk (at least for now), making news posts. That includes letting you know about terrain to make your tables look great.
Today in the Terrain Corner we have: Happy Seppuku Running MagRelief Kickstarter and Heroic Maps – Christmas Countdown Week 1.
Thursday, Thursday, Thursday… never could get a handle on Thursdays. I certainly enjoy them, as it means we’re getting close to the weekend, but we’re obviously not quite there yet. So, it’s like, “Woo! Almost-weekend-eve!” Ah well, we’ll get there in time. But before then, we need to make your gaming tables look good.
Today in the Terrain Corner we have: Final Days for Kongo Afrika Kickstarter and Deep-Cut Studio launches unique service to make game mats with hexes or grids.
So, I’m back in the office after one of the greatest Thanksgiving breaks I’ve ever had. Thursday I was at my friend’s place. We gamed. We had turkey. We watched football. It was amazing. Friday, I had friends over at my place for Thanksgiving 2: Thank Harder. We games more. We had more turkey. We… didn’t watch football, but we did play Mario Kart… which is nothing like football, but still… And then Saturday I went to a game shop in Alabama to play Guild Ball and put together a Gundam model, then went out for authentic German food. Sunday I rested (I really needed it by then).
It. Was. Amazing.
And today, I’m back in the office, playing hella-catch-up because I basically didn’t touch anything work-related for around 96 hours. 😛
Anyway, lets get your gaming tables looking as good as our dinner tables from a couple days ago.
Today in the Terrain Corner we have: DungeonWorks 3D Printed Terrain Up On Kickstarter and New 15mm Scale Meadow Battlefield From Deep-Cut Studio.
This is gonna be a pretty short week for me. It’s like it’s already Wednesday, in a way, since there’s only 2 more days after this to the weekend. But it’s not actually Wednesday. It’s Monday. As such, that means my Robin Hood/Star Wars shirt and a Terrain Corner, rather than my Ministry of Silly Walks shirt and a Snippets.
Today in the Terrain Corner we’ve got: New Wizard Tower and Holiday Sale Happening At Tabletop World, 4Ground Holiday Sale Happening Now, Heroic Maps – Terrain: Nebula Star Field Now Available, New Ruined Homestead Available From Micro Art Studio, and Heroic Maps – Port Fanchone Now Available.
We’re one week from Thanksgiving, my absolute most-favorite-est day of the year.
… And I have a metric-****-ton of things to do before we get there! O,o
My metaphorical work plate is piled higher than my actual plate will be next week at this time. So while I chew through this mass of projects, take a look at these new terrain articles that’ll make your gaming table as pretty as your dinner table in a week.
Today we have: B.A.S.E. System Sci-Fi Terrain Up On Kickstarter, Hobgoblin3D To Launch New Kickstarter Campaign, Manorhouse Workshop Update 18 – Forgotten Halls – New accessories shown at Essen, Pwork Wargame Releases Redone Lands of Mars Mat, and New District 5 Lightboard Available From Micro Art Studio.
The Monday after a long weekend… I mean, I know many of you out there love what you do for a living (as I certainly do), but there’s always just a bit of “erf…” about the Monday after a long weekend. An extra smack of the snooze button. An extra long shower. An extra cup of coffee. You know how it goes. Eventually, we’ll make it back around to the weekend. But, in the meantime, let’s make sure that when we do get to game again, we’ll have some good-looking gaming tables.
Today in the Terrain Corner we have: Orc Wall Gate Available To Order From Bits of War, Battlefront’s 2018 Premium Property Pre-order Deal Happening Now, Heroic Maps – Foxtail Moor: Wyvern Cave Now Available, Acheson Kongo Africa Kickstarter Funded: Unlocking Stretch Goals, and New Tech Coffin and Supply Box Available From Micro Art Studio.
It’s Thursday, but it also kinda feels like a Friday. Reason being that tomorrow’s posts will be made from home in the morning before taking the rest of the day off. So I’ve got that going for me. Hopefully gonna help a friend put together some Guild Ball models and just hang out. Might even put some paint on my own teams. Haven’t figured it all entirely out yet, but gaming will be involved. And where there’s gaming, there’s probably terrain as well. So let’s make your gaming tables look as good as possible.
Today in the Terrain Corner we have: Orc Kustom Workshop Available From Tabletop Scenics, The Shattered Shards 3D Printable Fantasy War Games Scenery Up On Kickstarter, Miniature Building Authority Shantytown Kickstarter Launches Today, Acheson Creations’ Kongo Afrika Kickstarter Launches Tomorrow, M3Studios’ Website is Online, and New Haven State Prison Terrain Available to Pre-Order From Plastcraft.
And as happens every week, we’ve rolled back around to Monday. It was an… interesting weekend. The “chill” did happen. Though I did do some cooking. I made Igor Bars. But not much else… Watched a lot of stand-up comedy on Netflix. Sometimes you just need a “chill” weekend. And that’s exactly what I needed. But I still thought of gaming. A Friend came over and we played a bit of Guild Ball on Friday before he had to go. But, seeing as it’s Monday, let’s get your gaming tables looking good.
Today in the Terrain Corner we have: Plastcraft Games Previews New Post-Apocalyptic Terrain, New Mousepad Mats Available From Pwork Wargame, Heroic Maps – Teoyohtlan Jungle: Cave of the Golden Tombs now Available, and The Bantam Alley – Wargaming Terrain Extras Kickstarter Happening Now.
One of my first armies back when I started playing miniatures games was a Tyranid force for 40k. They were still relatively new back in 2nd edition. They were just so cool and alien (and I’d not even seen Alien at the time). Well, for those that might want to get into the faction, there’s a new Tyranid Codex available to pre-order over on the Games Workshop site. They’ve also got bunches of other things, much of which would fit in today’s Terrain Corner. Also, bunches of paint sets.
It’s odd. Each day this week I’ve found myself, at some point, looking at the clock and going, “How is it only (time)?! Geeze! Today is taking forever!” And yet, in contradiction of that, I’ve also found myself going, “Whoah! It’s already (day)!? This week is flying by!” So while each day is taking forever, the week is just speeding past. I don’t really get it, but it does mean we’re already most of the way to the weekend. I’m in my Thursday shirt, and that means it’s time to make your gaming tables look as good as possible.
Today in the Terrain Corner we have: New Steampunk Ironclads From Burn In Designs, Tabletop Scenics Giving Away An Orc Quarters, Skull Forge Scenics Halloween Sale Happening Now, Acheson Creations at Fall In! and Millennium Con, New Modern Civilian 28mm – 32mm Vehicles From Antenociti’s Workshop, and New Masons and Brewers Terrain For Guild Ball.
It’s a frosty, frigid morning here in Atlanta. I know most Southerners think that anything below 60F is “freezing” but it literally was freezing this morning (as evidenced by having to scrape frost off my windshield before driving into the office). So while there might be frost on the pumpkins, it’s still Halloween Eve. And two terrain companies are having sales so great, they’re scary! (ok, not really scary, but I don’t get to use such a cheesy line too often). Battlefront is also talking about their new pre-order terrain.
Anyway, we’ve got: Terrains4Games Halloween Sale, Pwork Wargames Halloween Sale, and Battlefront to Launch 2018 Premium Property Pre-order Deal.
This week has been going by quickly, at least to me. But I’ve had a huge project I’ve been working on behind-the-scenes here. So having something keeping me very much occupied is certainly a good way to make time go by. But that just means it’s going to be the weekend really soon. Weekend = gaming. Gaming = terrain. So lets make your gaming tables look good. A quick Terrain Corner for you today.
We’ve got: Final Hours for ESLO Terrain 3D Printed Terrain Kickstarter
It’s a rainy Monday here in Atlanta. I actually love the rain. If there’s one thing I’m annoyed at, it’s that it wasn’t raining yesterday where I could stop and appreciate it more, as opposed to, y’know, driving through it to and from work. Ah well, not everything is perfect in life. But we try where we can. Just like how we try and make our gaming tables look perfect. And that’s what we’re here to help with today.
In the Terrain Corner we have: Adventure Forge 3D Map Maker Up On Kickstarter, Heroic Maps – The Lich’s Lair Now Available, Manorhouse Workshop Forgotten Halls and NoLands Comics at Essen, and Battlefront Offering Free Gaming Mats to Gaming Clubs.
It’s Saturday. I’m hanging out in the bear’s den here. LGS has a huge tourney going on, so I’m just gonna hang out here. So it’s me, John Mulaney, and typing up the Review Roundup. Literally Netflix and chill (no innuendo). Everyone needs just some relaxed days occasionally. Anyway, as for the reviews…
Today we have: Deep-Cut Studios Print-O-Mat Service, Monster Lands, Clans of Caledonia, Hoyuk, Renown, AssassinCon, Azul, Charterstone, Great Scott!, Escape from 100 Million B.C., Through the Ages: A New Story of Civilization iOS, Epic Monster Tea Party, Mortals, The Godfather: Corleone’s Empire, and Valley of the Alchemists.
Recently, Deep-Cut Studios started a new program where you can send in a photo and they’ll print a custom game mat for you. They sent out invitations for reviewers to get an early look at the service and give people their thoughts. I was one such reviewer selected, and since I’d been meaning to get a custom mat for a while, I jumped at the opportunity. So, let’s take a look at the custom printing service from Deep-Cut Studios in this TGN Review!
We’re making our way through the work week. The weekend is coming soon. A little more and we’ll make it there. And with the weekend (hopefully) comes gaming. I know my LGS is going to be packed, with 2 different tourneys going on. And you know the tables are going to be looking good. So, let’s get your gaming table looking just as good.
Today in the Terrain Corner we have: New Starfleet Deck Tiles Available From Modiphius, Tabletop Scenics Now Open, Custom Mat Printing Now Available From Deep-Cut Studio, and Heroic Maps – Storeys: Hadeshill Abandoned Asylum Now Available.
It’s Monday. That means it’s back to the office after the weekend. I… feel like I could use another. *yawns*
Saturday was baking cookies and then hanging out with friends. Sunday was busy doing stuff around the apartment. I think this upcoming weekend I’m going to be as chill as possible. But they, polar bears and chill go together. In the meantime, let’s make your gaming tables look good. Quick Terrain Corner today, but still worth checking out.
This shortened week is coming to a close. Well, eventually, anyway. Did yesterday seem to take 2 days to anyone else? It started out with, “Woo! It’s Wednesday!” and ended with, “… wait, it’s still Wednesday?!” Ah well, the day did, eventually, end. So now we’re in Thursday. I’ve got my Thursday shirts on to prove it. Also, it’s time for a Terrain Corner. Extra-size, since we didn’t have one on Monday, even!
Today we’ve got: Acheson’s Kongo-Afrika KickStarter to launch November 3, New Normandy 44 Mat Available From Warzone Studio, Fogou Models Releases New Post-Apocalyptic Shacks, Tabletop Workshop Running Modular Dungeon Kickstarter, Plastcraft Shows of Gothic Millennium Terrain, and Heroic Maps Halloween Sale Happening Now.
The work week continues along. We’re in that second-half slide towards the weekend. And I’m excited for it, since I’ve got a great weekend lined up. My new gaming mat should be here today or tomorrow, and I’ve got lots of baking to do. I mean, what could be better? Nothing. That’s what. Speaking of gaming mats, let’s get your gaming tables looking as good as possible.
Today in the Terrain Corner we have: New Unlocks and Stretch Goals Posted For Dragonlock 3, StudioLevel Terrain Coming To Kickstarter, and Heroic Maps – Storeys: Harwenna’s Tower Available Now.
Come back around, we’ve circled and arrived at Monday again. We knew it was going to happen. I hope you were ready for it. Also, it’s finally OCTOBER! Woo! It’s my favorite month (even though I’m rather “meh” about Halloween). Time to bust out all the pumpkin-based recipes (pie, cheesecake, snickerdoodles, mousse, everything) and go to town. And the cooler temperatures are certainly welcome to a polar bear living in Georgia. But that’s as may be. Right now, it’s time to make sure your gaming tables look as good as possible.
Today in the Terrain Corner we have: New 10mm Fantasy House Available From Escenografia Epsilon, Lifeless Land Gaming Mat Available From Pwork Wargame, and Deep-Cut Studio releases another aerial game mat for WW2 dogfights.
The week continues along. This has been a pretty good one, I must say. My new dice came in. So I’m happy about that. We’re also getting ever-closer to the weekend. I’m making plans not only for Saturday gaming, but hopefully a regular RP here at the office starting next week. So that should be fun. But, in the meantime, let’s get your gaming tables looking good.
Today in the Terrain Corner we have: New Sci-Fi Terrain Available From Battle Systems, and Volkano Gaming Mat Available From Pwork Wargame.
