    Ironclad Miniatures update

    Ironclad Miniatures have updated their websites with news of some upcoming product releases and some new releases.

    It has been a been another busy month here at Ironclad with attending several shows and work on some new ranges and models, which we hope to release over the next 2 weeks.     PaperTerrain have added a new WWII paper terrain kit depicting St Mere Eglise Church.

    TerranScapes releases Wooden Bridges, Tomb and Tower

    TerranScapes have released three new 28mm terrain items today.

    From their announcement:

    TerranScapes has released a pair of buildings based on Hirst Arts molds, as well as a new Wooden Bridge. The buildings, the Tomb and an improved 4″ Round Tower, are both constructed using castings made in UltraCal30 and feature high quality painting and assembly. The wooden bridge, a resin and wood combination, is offered in two lengths, and customized widths can be requested at the time of purchase.

    Hydra Saurian Idol temporarily withdrawn

    Hydra Miniatures have withdrawn their Saurian Idol terrain piece.

    From their announcement:

    Due to numerous casting issues, Hydra Miniatures has temporarily withdrawn its resin Saurian Idol from production. In addition, both of our Thrilling Expeditions bundles are no longer available. We hope to have the Saurian Idols back in stock soon and are exploring using different casting resins. In addition, we are considering the option of hiring an outside company to cast our resin scenery items for us.

    If you are North American customer interested in purchasing a Saurian Idol, you can order it from Recreational Conflict on their online store. Likewise, European customers can order the Saurian Idol from Miniaturicum in Germany on their online store.

    This past weekend I attended GW’s Games Day Baltimore as a special guest. I had hobby terrain, artwork, and prototypes for products I am releasing on display. Below are some pictures from the show.

    All in all I had a great time talking to everyone who stopped by. I met some people from my forum, Frothers, CMoN, and the FOD. I did have a problem with my camera crapping out on me, the card refused to save pictures so I have to hope that some people got some great photos of the display and are willing to share them with me.     Timecast have announced a price increase that will come into effect in July 2008.

    Unfortunately the increased cost of raw materials, fuel and transport costs, business rates etc means that we will have to put our prices up at the end of July. Current prices will be valid until the Bovington show on the weekend of 5th-6th July.
