Fantasy Flight Games have begun to take pre-orders the the Limited Edition Belial Lord of Darkness resin figure.

Fantasy Flight Games have posted their third introductory article on army building in Confrontation. This week a look at building a Dirz army.

Rackham have posted new previews today of Kayl Kartan and head and wing details from an Imperial Griffin.

The Fantasy Flight Games Rackham Legends page now has printable stat cards and Army info sheets for all legal forces in Confrontation: The Age of the Rag’narok.

Rackham have posted a preview of the upcoming Athan Zakhil miniature for Confrontation.

From their announcement:

Athan Zakhil is the best faithful available to the Scorpion army. He has a wide range of abilities at his disposal to call the most powerful communions there are. His place is inside a large unit of clones that will provide the faith necessary for the execution of devastating communions. These are not his only qualities. He can also turn into Zakhil Prime, a hybrid form of Dasyatis prime and Athan Zakhil. In the shape of the beast, he can lead a unit of one Dasyatis prime (or even two if you are using the advantage of the laboratory of Theben). If we were to describe the potential devastation caused by a unit of two of these creatures led by Zakhil Prime we would probably be banned from selling this book to underage customers.

Rackham have posted previews of the Sered and Syhar Sighthound figures for Confrontation.

A sneak preview of the next version of the Templar commander for the Griffin army. Soon available in plastic, assembled and painted!

” Sered is an Incarnate who has several faces: he is a hand to hand fighter, a commander and a faithful. To make the most of all this potential, he needs a proper escort: his unit needs to be as big as possible and powerful enough to sustain the efforts Sered demands of them. This Incarnate also needs his men to fuel his communions. Sered is a powerful fighter: the commander should have no scruples about sending him to the front line to smite the enemy with the power of Merin. He is the ideal mage hunter, since one of his artifacts protects him against mystic effects. ”

Exclusive miniatures for the Scorpion army soon available for Confrontation: the Age of the Rag´narok. Here is a preview of these creatures.

“Carried by the wings of science, Syhar sighthounds are the desert´s eyes, greedily tracking the enemies of the Syhar with a taste for carnage inspired by technomancy rather than instinct. The wings of the Syhar sighthounds carry them with lightning speed wherever the enemy tries to run. Mobility is the first quality of the Syhar sighthounds. No-one is safe from their claws or fangs. Even heavily armored fighters, though relatively protected, find themselves bogged down with the time it takes to get rid of these tough creatures. The slower Scorpion troops then have the time to join the fray and massacre the surviving opponents.”

There are three photos of Sered (1, 2 and 3) as well as three additional photos of the Syhar Sighthound (1, 2 and 3)

Rackham have updated their online store to indicate that the Rackham Legends Belial miniature will not be available with both head and weapon configurations. People who pre-ordered before this announcement will get both options shipped with their figure.

Rackham have sent along a new preview photo of the upcoming Dirz Nemesis Clone miniature.

Rackham have sent an email out informing us that the Nemesis Clone photo that we have been posting is actually of a model called the Nefarius Prime.

In Cry Havoc Online #81, Rackham has previewed two Dirz units for Confrontation, clones and crossbowmen. There are also work in progress shots of a new apostate of Darkness that will be part of the new Rackham Legends range (front and back) and of the Age of Rag’narok version of the Dirz magician Kayl Kartan.

Rackham have sent along details and photos of their September 2008 releases for Confrontation. No word on pricing for these releases.

Rackham have announced their long awaited Rackham Legends line of miniatures.

From their announcement:

With the success of the game AT-43, Rackham was able to impose new quality standards to the miniatures market. With ready assembled and painted miniatures that offer immediate gaming pleasure, new players have been able to discover miniatures strategy games thus helping the sector find a second wind.

In line with the expectation of new gamers, AT-43 was voted best game of the year 2007 by the reference website Tabletop Gaming news for to its innovative game system and the quality of its miniatures. Confrontation: The Age of the Rag’Narok is following the same path and its mission will be to stimulate the miniatures market by offering a complementary range to AT-43.

The English Confrontation forum has a post from Jean Bey with photos of the Wyrm of Dirz miniature.

Fantasy Flight Games have updated their March release schedule to include the omitted Confrontation Griffin Army Book Temple. It should be released on March 18th with the rest of the Confrontation products.

Rackham have posted a new PDF preview of excerpts from the Wolfen army book for Confrontation focusing on the pack of the Twilight Hills (PDF link).

From their announcement:

The pack of the Twilight Hills has been closer to destruction than any other major pack. A mercenary band even knocked down the stone circle and exterminated all of its members bar one: despite wounds that would have killed any other wolfen, Isakar survived. With the help of the human tribes of Kelt Sessairs, Isakar avenged himself upon the mercenaries and revived his pack.

Nowadays the Twilight Hills are still far from being able to display the arrogant confidence of the larger and more powerful packs. Isakar´s pack needs to build its numbers and protect its territory from the numerous rogue bands that have appeared since the beginning of the Rag´narok.

Rackham has updated the Griffin Temple army book excerpt (PDF file) that is available to download from its website with information on the Temple of the East faction. The printed version of the full army book is scheduled for release in March.
