Privateer Press Announces MiniCrate Subscription Box

Lots of my friends do some form or another of subscription service. Whether it’s Blue Apron or Lootcrate or Graze or Comic Bento, every month they’re getting a mystery box of goods, often with exclusive or special-release items. Well, fans of Privateer Press can now get their own, specially-made box, as they have announced the launch of their own subscription box service called MiniCrate.

Privateer Press Launches Warmachine and Hordes Cards Database

We’ve known that Privateer Press was going to go mostly-paperless with their games Warmachine and Hordes. This means you’ll have to get the cards online. But where? Well, in the new Card Database that they’ve launched, of course. It’s free to access and has every card for every mini there. It will be regularly updated, as necessary, whenever new changes to model’s stats or abilities are made.

We’re just over halfway through June. It’s getting really hot outside. Personally, I’m looking forward to this fall. Why? That’s my secret. I’m always looking forward to fall. Well, Privateer Press is showing off what’ll be coming out in the month of September, and I figured you’d like to take a peek.

Privateer Press Announces Company of Iron Warmachine/Hordes Skirmish Game

I originally picked up Warmachine as a “quick, small, fast game to play when I didn’t want to play a ‘big game’ of 40k.” Not long afterward, Warmachine turned into a pretty big game, all its own. Well, Privateer Press is pulling back and coming out with Company of Iron, a new skirmish game based in the Warmachine/Hordes universe.

Privateer Press Launches Community Integrated Development Program

When it comes to the games we love, we can be very protective of them. While every new release may give you some great, balanced, interesting new cards/models/dice for your game, there’s also the worry that a new set of releases will break the game. So, how does a company make sure that new releases are balanced? Playtesting, of course. But for playtesting to be effective, you need a large sample size of game situations to sift through. Privateer Press has decided that will be done through their Community Integrated Development Program, which has just launched.

New 2-Player Starter Sets Available For Warmachine and Hordes From Privateer Press
