Way of the Fighter Now Available

If your Valentine’s day didn’t quite turn out like you’d hoped, I still hope it didn’t end up with you squaring off with an opponent, prepping your various martial arts moves in the attempt to knock the other fighter into unconsciousness… unless, of course, that was just you and your significant other playing some Way of the Fighter, which is available now from Ninja Division.

WizKids Announces Endless Pass Card Game

WizKids seems to be in that pattern again of announcing several new games in rapid succession (nothing wrong with that, mind you). In this case, it’s Endless Pass: A Viking Saga. Players take on the role of mighty vikings, searching the Pass as they look to defeat the Endless, a never-ending (ooooh, that explains the name…) group of monsters. But, being vikings, they’re also looking for glory! As such, they’ll compete against one-another as well. Whose story will be told throughout all time? That’s for you to decide.

Well, the wait is getting shorter all the time, and if you want to get a hands-on experience with the game, you’re only 3 weeks (and change) out from doing so if your LGS is one of the lucky ones who will get to start showing demos of the product on March 8th.

Infinity RPG Now Available In Print Form

Sure, Infinity is set in a distant future where humanity’s spread out among the stars, and I’m sure that paper books are a bit passe, and even these days, many people like books in digital form. But I’m an old fuddy-duddy who likes to actually have a book in-hand when I can. So I’m in luck (and if you’re like me, you are, too), as the Infinity RPG is now available in print form.

Lotsa people grouping together for this one. IDW has teamed up with Steve Jackson Games and Nickelodeon to bring you a new Munchkin set. Kings of War: Vanguard Beta Test Happening Now

When a company puts out a game, they obviously want it to be as perfect as possible. But even with a couple dedicated playtest groups, things can be missed. That’s where a public beta can help. Battlefront Launches ‘Nam Website, Has Sale on Stock

My dad was drafted for the Vietnam war. Though he never ended up in-country, he did train to drive an APC. Considering what I learned later during a Vietnam War History class that I took, I’m glad he didn’t end up over there. It probably wouldn’t’ve gone well. The Vietnam War is one that’s not often talked about in gaming circles. But Battlefront is looking to change that with ‘Nam, their minis game set during that conflict. They’ve got a new website up and running, and they’re celebrating with a sale on everything in the shop.

Fantasy Flight Announces Knights of Fate Book For Star Wars RPG

I mean, it’s called Star Wars, not Star Sit and Talk It Out. While the Jedi do look to try and have peaceful resolutions to problems, they also are trained warriors, ready to clash lightsabers with anyone who might do them or any other peaceful being harm. The Knights of Fate book, coming soon for the Star Wars RPG, gives players more options for combat-oriented characters. New Scenarios Released For The Walking Dead: All Out War

Mantic’s The Walking Dead: All Out War pits you against your opponent for control of the board and resources. Oh, and there’s hoards of zombies walking around. Well, fear not, as Mantic has posted up some new scenarios you can try not.

Monday Terrain Corner

So… it’s Monday.
Maybe we shouldn’t dwell on that, but, instead remember the games we all (hopefully) played on the weekend. Heck, my gaming started before I even left the office on Friday with a game of the Bloodborne Card Game. Then a game of Guild Ball on Saturday. Always wanting to get in more games of that. Plus, there’s always looking forward to next weekend’s games… and the terrain they’ll be using. And with that, we go to the Terrain Corner.

Today we have: Anvil Eight Previews Rhommox Faction Pylon, ShipWorks 3d Printable Ship Terrain Up on Kickstarter, Operation Alpha: SciFi Gaming Mat Available from Pwork Wargame, and Return Of The Gaming Mat From Battlefront.

Fantasy Flight Previews Command Cards From Star Wars: Legion

Commanders in an army are the ones who give orders to the lower-ranking soldiers. These orders are represented in Star Wars: Legion, by you moving the figures around the board, but also by the Command Cards. They determine who will have priority during a turn, being played at the start of each. There are some that are neutral, and can be used by either army. But some are specific to the Dark or Light sides. You get a look at several of these in this preview.
