Any details that you can give us regarding the first expansion for the game?
How does this game change Privateer Press? Going forward will this game be an impetus to move PP into being more like WotC?
Will you be leveraging your experience with Monsterpocalypse plastic miniatures to Hordes & Warmachine?

This post will be up on the site until Sunday night when comments will be closed and I will be sending the questions to Matt and Erik for their answers. Thanks to Matt and Erik for agreeing to this Q&A session and to Bobby at Privateer Press for arranging it.
Update: Comments are closed and we will be posting the questions that we will be sending to Matt and Erik

Battlegames have announced an upcoming increase to the price of their wargaming magazine.
From their website:
It’s just not possible to be unaffected by the economic factors buffeting all businesses at the moment, and on top of earlier hikes in postage costs, we’re now assailed by very high fuel and energy prices. To put the icing on the cake, my printers have just landed me with a price hike that I just can’t ignore, so I’m afraid that I’m going to have to increase the cover price of the magazine to £4.25 from next issue (15), due out at the end of October.
Check out their website for full details.

Other items are packed and priced as shown. 8 figure packs will be gradually withdrawn and replaced with 4 figure packs. The single figure listing (available in the downloadable catalogue) will also be withdrawn.
Switching to 4 figure packs will result in less duplication within the packs and will help streamline production.

Scale Creep Miniatures have sent along a public service message for those people attempting to order from them.
From their announcement:
We have added a large number of products to the catalog over at Scale Creep Miniatures across a wide variety of categories. Books, figures, terrain and accessories – there’s something new for every taste and every budget. However…
Normally, we use the uplink to the Scan-a-tron 3000 to determine which of these products we think you need (and can afford). Now it has come to our attention that many of you continue to doff the tin foil hat, made so popular by Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch. These stunning fashion accessories, while oh so cool, actually interfere with the Scan-a-tron 3000 signals. Why, just last week, we sent Mr. Arthur Timid, of Woking, a new complete 25mm army of Sassanids. His tin foil hat caused us to mis-scan the chip in his temporal lobe. In fact he was really secretly hoping for 250 grams of sausage. Regrettably his insurance refused to cover the re-insertion of the kidney he used as collateral, identifying it as “optional, cosmetic or Munchausen-derived” surgery. So don’t let this happen to you! Recycle that hat and let the Scan-a-tron 3000 do its work. You’ll be much, much happier, we promise (and if that doesn’t work, try the orange pill).

From their website:
At the moment we are all but in - there’s “just” the new extraction system to be fitted and then the casting facilities moved over - so there will still be some casting disruption, possibly for as much as two weeks, after which we should be back on track and start getting everything back in stock.

Battlegames editor Henry Hyde is trying to raise funds for the Combat Stress charity in Britain.

From their announcement:
Combat Stress is the only charity to support British ex-Servicemen and women who have been profoundly traumatised by harrowing experiences on active duty. Founded in 1919, the charity offers both short-stay remedial treatment at three specialist centres across the UK and a regional welfare service supporting clients in their homes.
Many of us, I’m sure, know of individuals whose scars may not be visible, but who suffer nonetheless. Only comparatively recently have the armed services begun to properly understand the long-term psychological effects of active duty, instituting ‘decompression’ either in, or close to, the theatre of operations for personnel about to end their tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Many thousands of our service men and women from less recent conflicts have been effectively left to fend for themselves, relying overwhelmingly on the voluntary help offered by charities like Combat Stress. Please help them to help the men and women who have served on our behalf in dangerous places and situations, often in extremely difficult and harrowing peacekeeping operations such as Bosnia, whatever their rank, job or arm of the services.

Sally White of Hasslefree Miniatures writes:
We have a space left in the mould for the October 2008 releases so are giving you a chance to say which of 3 figures from the January 2009 release should take the space.
You can vote on the FOD . The poll runs for one week and finishes Monday 22nd September at 9am GMT (thats when I have to send the greens to Griffin for casting). So shall it be Ceril the brooding dark elf prince, Dominatrix Libby or a goblin scout master with an attitude from Mark Kay? You decide.

The website for Game Trade Magazine has been giving an update.
From their announcement:
In the wake of Game Trade Magazine’s (GTM) milestone hundred-issue run, we were monumentally inspired to keep the momentum rolling by re-tooling our website. So, once we shooed away all of the lingering dust bunnies, our crafty gremlins went to task in tinkering, hammering, and sculpting our brand-spankin’ new website. Basically, we’ve taken the most popular elements from our original site and morphed it into a more streamlined, amped-up, user-friendly format, allowing you, our devoted and highly informed readers, ample free reign to frolic at your leisure. But, you needn’t rely solely on our bravado to convince you just how cool it is — just venture on over to www.gametrademagazine.com and test drive it yourself. We’re revving it up as of GTM #103, and we’re confident you’ll enjoy the ride for the next hundred issues and beyond…
Oh, and we welcome (and encourage.) your feedback and suggestions, positive or not-so. So, don’t hesitate to contact managing editor Andrew Smith and share your thoughts, musings, and insights — your input is tantamount in fine-tuning and improving the website to best suit your needs.
