Is this week just rocketing by for anyone else, or just me?
I mean, it’s already Wednesday.
Well, seeing as it is Wednesday, let’s get ourselves stocked up on some bite-sized gaming stories.
Today we have: Public Alpha For Cold Start Posted, How to Paint Board Game Miniatures: The Beginners Guide to Painting Board Game Miniatures Now Available, Terrible Kids Stuff – Christmas 2016 releases, Battle for the Universe Coming to Kickstarter in January, Jet Bike Construction Kit Up On Kickstarter, Oddzial Osmy’s 3mm November Releases Arrive at PicoArmor, Khurasan releases two 15mm fantasy sets by Tom Meier, Final Week for The Roots of Magic On Kickstarter, Dystopian World Expansion Passes Funding Goal, Ouroboros Tales Posts New Stretch Goals, New Viking Shield Sets Available from Tabletop-Art, Brother Vinni Holiday Sale Happening Now, 15mm 1st Carlist Wars & Spanish American War (1898) back in production, and New Junk City Bases Available From Kromlech.
It’s the last day of November. We’re 11/12s of the way through the year. We just might make it after all.
Actually, I’m looking forward to this weekend. It should be a good time, as they generally are. I mean, weekend, right!?
But, before we get there, we’ve got some more days to get through. To help, we should power up on some bite-sized gaming stories.
Today we have: Nomad Games adds Wizards and Tricksters to Steam Early Access of Smash Up!, Introducing Boxwood Genius Dice, Digital Edition of Colt Express Now Available, New Releases Available to Order From Victoria Miniatures, WarSeer Forum Relaunches Tomorrow, New Chaos Templates From Pyrkol, Old World Leather Gaming Mats for RPG Metal Dice Rolling Up On Kickstarter, Fantasy Football teams available at Flatminis as 2D plastic miniatures, New Release: Kromlech Battle Rulers, New Statuesque Fine & Pulp Scale Female Heads – Bald on sale, Special Artizan Service Miniatures Presents: Contractor On Kickstarter, Yet More Victoria Miniatures Releases, New Release: Kromlech Wound Markers, and Ouroboros Tales 54mm Fantasy Miniatures Up On Kickstarter.
It’s WWIII and it’s time to bring out the big guns, literally. The British are hitting the field with their M109 Field Battery. If you want some artillery support, you can’t get much bigger than these 155mm behemoths.
During WWII, the Allies weren’t known for their huge tanks. No, the Germans, with their Tiger and Tiger II are what’s remembered as the big tanks around. Well, in WWIII, that’s no longer the case. The idea of taking lots of fast, light tanks has given way to a new form of thinking. That brings us to the Chieftain, which has the thickest armor and biggest gun in all of NATO’s forces. Take a look at it for Team Yankee in this article from Battlefront.
At once, it feels both like, “wow. Already Wednesday?” and “wow. How is it only Wednesday?”
Is it that way for anyone else or just me?
I feel like I’ve gotten a lot done, but have a lot more waiting ahead of me.
Ah well. We’ll make it. Break on through to the other side. To help with that, here’s a bunch of bite-sized gaming stories.
Today on the platter we have: Scotia Grendel New Releases – October 2016, Rebel Minis Launches Rise of the Animechs Kickstarter, Shatterlands Kickstarter Reaches Funding Goal, Xtraidos Skirmish Game Relaunching Soon On Indiegogo, Ether Wars Kickstarter Relaunch November 22nd + Giveaway starting this Tuesday, New Releases Available From Victoria Miniatures, Idea Jab Card Game Coming To Kickstarter “Pretty Soonish”, Khurasan releases 15mm Seydlitz Tank, Geek Chic Releases The Vanguard Table, Chronicles Miniatures Game Looking For Beta Testers, Brother Vinni Releases Tricycle Robot, Final Hours For Shadows of Esteren On Kickstarter, Final Days for Ninja Arena On Kickstarter, Table Air Combat: U-2 Kukuruznik Now Available, Castles & Crusades latest Kickstarter in its final week, Twisted Brothers Studio join MAGE Company, and New Breacher Bikes Available From Kromlech.
In the conflicts of present day and the near future, having close air support for your ground troops is vital. Aircraft can provide a high vantage point to the battlefield and get fields of fire that no ground troop would be able to manage. Then there’s the maneuverability factor. In Team Yankee, your British troops can be supported by a set of Harrier Close Air Support fighters.
The days have circled around again and we find ourselves deposited in a Monday. I hope you had a good weekend. I spent Saturday playing Small World and Ascension with some friends. Then on Sunday I assembled a bunch of another friend’s Guild Ball models, because I enjoy assembling figures and he’s been super-busy lately.
But that’s as may be. It’s time to make sure your gaming tables look as good as possible.

Is this week going by quickly for everyone else, or is it just me? I woke up this morning and sort of shocked myself with the fact that I was putting on my Wednesday shirt already. We’ll be getting to the weekend before we know it. But in the meantime, we should stock up on some bite-size gaming stories.

Well, it’s been a bit of a short week here in the office, having only come in Wed-Fri. Though, with having just a little time off from Gen Con, it felt much longer. I’m looking forward to a weekend of doing probably not all that much at all. Just some time to decompress a bit. Should be nice. Lets me put together some of the figures I got at the show. To do that, I’ll need energy. Energy in the form of bite-sized gaming stories.
On today’s platter we have: Forest Goblins multi-part plastics is Shieldwolf Miniatures Coming To Kickstarter, Xtraidos Crowdfunding Campaign Launched, TinMan’s 35% Off Back In Business Sale Ends Soon, Oddzial Osmy’s 3mm August Releases Arrive at PicoArmor, Victoria Miniatures Female Greatcoat Legs and BFG Ammo Crates Now Available, and New Undead Orcs From Scotia Grendel.
The folks over at Assault Publishing have always been rather busy, coming out with new minis pretty much all the time. Well, they’ve decided to be even busier and come out with a new space combat game called Shadows in the Void (I guess you could say that the story is as much announcing that’s a thing as well). Well, the folks there are looking to generate some extra funds to make the game a reality as well as need to clear out some warehouse space in order to store it. That’s where you, the consumer, come in.
It’s Friday. So tomorrow’s the weekend. It’s also the last weekend before Gen Con. I know some people that’ll be headed towards Indy as early as Monday morning. That means there’s lots to get done this weekend to prepare for the show. And if there’s lots to get done, that means we need all the energy we can get. That means fueling up on some bite-sized gaming stories.
On today’s platter we have: Acheson Creations Running Heavy Metal Pewter Minis and Accessories Kickstarter, Magic: The Gathering Puzzle Quest 1.5.8 Update Adds PvP, Kill the King Coming To Kickstarter This Fall, NonSenseMiniatures new Swat team and gangs, Superheavies & Flyers for 1p40k released, First Teaser posted for Cretacea: A game of gargantuan survival, Battle Valor Games Latest 15mm Fantasy New Releases Posted, 54mm NeoProspector Kadmon Available From Hitech Miniatures, Only Four Days Until the Start of the 2016 Windhammer Prize, Free Shipping In August From FG MiniZ, and Legion Armoury Weekend Promo From Kromlech.
Well, as was expected, Thursday has turned into Friday. The week’s still going by quickly (that’s NOT a complaint). So it should be almost no time before I’m headed home for a lovely weekend of… I’m not 100% sure what I’ll be up to this weekend. Having spent the last two Saturdays driving ~9 hours, if I just was to chill at home, I’d be able to handle that. But that doesn’t mean I shouldn’t stock up on some bite-size gaming stories in the meantime.
Today we have: Final Minutes for Wander on Kickstarter, FossilPunk Foundry To Launch Sauriana Kickstarter, Pre-orders open for Full Battle Rattle Miniatures modern Canadian Infantry, Organisers Guide to Tanks OPS Kits Posted, Victoria Miniatures Universal Victorian Guard Now Available, Drawlab Running Legendary Dice Throwers Kickstarter, Poorly Dubbed Action Heroes Paper Minis Now Available, Brigade Models Release 6mm Kirin Walker, and New Tokens & Templates for WW2 Gaming from Sally 4th.
I bless the rains down in Africa.
Or maybe I don’t, since I’m not a part of Toto (even if I do feel love isn’t always on time). Radio Dishdash has released Skirmish Afrika, their new modern African military expansion for Skirmish Sangin. It might just be raining lead down in Africa.
The week continues along. As it goes, so do we along with it. The weekend is coming up soon. It’ll hopefully be here before we know it. I’m going to an inaugural board game day at a library that a friend works at. Probably to play Guild Ball. I know that’s not technically a board game. But I don’t care. I’m a rebel.
Anyway, before then, we need to stock up on some bite-sized gaming stories.
So today we have: Red Panda Miniatures Wander Contest Happening Now, Ares Games Posts Dungeon Time Kickstarter Preview Video, Khurasan releases 15mm Merkava Mark 4, New interactve website for Castles & Crusades, Oddzial Osmy’s 3mm June Releases Arrive at PicoArmor, and Final week for Barbaric Splendor Kickstarter One: Personalities.
Try not to panic, everyone, but the weekend is just around the corner. I’ve spent the last 3 going around all over Atlanta gaming (D&D one weekend, Guild Ball the next, and Drunk Quest (even though I didn’t drink) the next). What sort of things have you been up to? And have you had cool gaming tables to play it all on? Who doesn’t love a good-looking gaming table? To help make sure yours look the best, here’s another installment of the Terrain Corner.
Today we have: Manorhouse Workshop Update #35 – “3D Bases – Modular Terrain” Kickstarter will be launched the 20th of June, New Medieval Crane from Thomarillion, Arid Plain: Pwork Wargames Fantasy Gaming Mat Now Available, New Modern 28mm Urban Shopping Mall Set from Sally 4th, and Deep-Cut Studio releases river tiles on mousepad material.
When you’re reading this, I’m hopefully using my Battle Chef in combat.
But that’s me.
For you who’s here reading the site, I’ve got your Review Roundup for you.
Today we have: Hail Caesar, Force on Force, Codenames, Five Tribes, Legends of Andor The Star Shield, Ninja All-Stars, The Grizzled: At Your Orders, Aviary, Booty, Catan: Explorers and Pirates, Allegiance: A Realm Divided, and The Golfing Dead.
We once more stand on the precipice of the weekend. I hope you’ve got gaming stuff planned. I know I do. It’ll be a good time had by all. Lots of gaming, and then lots of reporting about said gaming back to you all.
But I’m still getting over being sick. I’m hoping I’m on “the last day” of this nonsense today. But just in case, I’m keeping up my “being sick” protocols. And I’m also going to need to fill up on some bite-sized gaming stories. Good thing that’s just what I’ve got here.
Today we have: Askari Miniatures Webstore Back Open, Hitech Miniatures Releases Battle Walker “Onslaught”, New Toughest Girls of the Galaxy Box Sets Available From Raging Heroes, Sally 4th Pulp Alley Character Cards released today, Oddzial Osmy’s 3mm and 15mm May Releases Arrive at PicoArmor, and Kromlech New Release: Legionary Heavy Flamers.
“Protection? Protection from what? Ze Germans?”
It might actually not be a bad idea to protect yourself against Ze Germans (specifically in this case the West Germans), as they’ll be making their way to Team Yankee in a couple months. Battlefront has posted up a preview of what you can expect in their book, Leopard.
I’ve really been looking forward to this weekend. Not that the work week’s been bad, mind you. It’s actually gone by in a flash. No, I’m just ready for a full weekend of gaming (and article-writing, which is a direct result of the gaming). What sort of things do you have planned? Whatever it is, we’d best make sure you’ve got lots of energy, which can be gained from some bite-size gaming stories. We have just that for you here now.
Today there’s: Moose Added to Flint and Feather Kickstarter, Final Days for Ral Partha’s Kickstarter, New Jet Engines and Bases Available From Hitech Miniatures, New Pathfinder Soundpacks Available From Syrinscape, French & Indian War Canoes On Kickstarter, Khurasan releases support weapons for 15mm Modern US Army, Raging Heroes extends the Free Shipping Offer, and LOAD gives away some of their awesome hero miniatures.
It’s a hive of activity here in the office. We’ve got a lot of extra people in the office in town for the Expo this weekend. And it sounds like they’re building something in the warehouse (which is right behind my desk). Everything for the show is in “Final check” phase. That means utter chaos, of course, but in a good way. 😛
In the meantime, let’s fill up on some bite-sized gaming stories, shall we?
Today we have: Rotten Factory Miniatures – Rise of the Dark Power On Wspieram, Totentanz Miniatures Tercio May releases Posted, Last 5 Days For Aether Captains on Kickstarter, New Ancestral Ruin 32mm and 40mm base deals from Tabletop-Art, Junk Spirit Games announces By Order of the Queen, Dark Siren Available Now From Kabuki Models, Load Board Game Coming To Kickstarter Soon, 15mm WW2 and Vietnam Passenger Trays Available From Dark Art Miniatures, A new design appears From Red Panda Miniatures, Khurasan releases 15mm Soviet T-64B, Brigade Models Release 15mm Neo-Soviet Conscripts, Final Day For Aeon’s End Up On Kickstarter, Hope Board Game Coming To Kickstarter June 9th, and Cross promotion between Fragged Empire and FAITH: The Sci-Fi RPG.
I hope your Monday is starting off alright. Mine is starting off with a lot of visitors to the office. Much of the Brazil crew is in town for the Expo later this week. And I got a gift. They brought me some special flour so I can make a traditional Brazilian dish. So my cooking game is going to be kicked up a notch. Just as your hobby game can be kicked up a notch with some new terrain. So let’s get to it.
Today we have: New Dark Age Huts From Escenografia Epsilon, Brigade Models Release 2mm Scale Warehouses, Pwork Wargames Space Nebula Mat Now Available, and Manorhouse Workshop Update #26 – The first copies of the ruined abbey.
As much as I had to keep reminding myself that yesterday was Thursday and not Friday, I can now say that today is, indeed, Friday. There’s certainly plenty going on today. Lots of preparations for the CMON Expo happening next week. More on that later. At the moment, though, it’s time to fill up on some bite-sized gaming stories to help you power your way to the weekend.

Monday and Tuesday are in the rear view mirror. Meanwhile, we work our way towards the weekend. We’re halfway there, people. We can make it. But if we’re gonna do it, we should stock up on some bite-sized gaming stories. Thankfully, that’s just the sort of thing we have for you right now.

When people ask me what I’m doing on Sunday, I generally say, “As little as possible.”
Granted, considering today has included making breakfast, doing dishes, doing laundry, prepping to cook what will be dinners this week, work on putting together models, and work on a review article, “as little as possible” actually include a lot of things.
It also includes bringing you some bite-sized gaming stories. So let’s get to it so I can get back to that giant list of things.
Today’s stories are: Victrix Previews Iberian Cavalry, New Release Available From Hitech Miniatures, Mounted German Schutztruppen Available From Askari Miniatures, Pledge Manager to Open Soon For Toughest Girls of the Galaxy II, and Voodooworx Miniatures Release Hul’Gren: The Collector.

Well, while it seems like we dodged one bullet here in Georgia the other day, only getting some rain. It’s looking tonight like we might get a bit of accumulated precipitation. Though considering tomorrow it’s supposed to get to 38 and the day after it’s supposed to be sunny and 51, I’m not really worried about it.
I can’t really say the same for the rest of GA. They seem like they’re going freaking nuts. But waddyagonnado?

Taking a break from the RPG Kickstarters for a minute.
Is the week going by quickly for anyone else? On my ride in to work today, I looked down at my dashboard and saw my odometer and, for a moment, went, “why is that so high? It’s only Tues… oh… wait… it’s Wednesday. Ok, that makes sense.”
But seeing as it is Wednesday and all, we should have ourselves a Midweek Snippets.
Man, this is also the first Wednesday in a couple weeks where I don’t have tomorrow off. Makes me a little sad, but I’ll get through it, somehow.

After a couple weeks of vacations, it’s back in the office, on the regular, for a spell. Yay?
Actually, that’s not so bad. I’m one of those “regular routine” sort of people, anyway. So it’s all good.
I hope everyone’s starting to get a chance to play the games and such that they got for the holiday season. Now that you’ve got the games and minis, you’ll need to make your tables look as good as possible. That’s what we’re here for today, with our Terrain Corner.
