In any army, you’re going to have the elite units. Those that take on extra training and get extra equipment. This month’s releases for Wrath of Kings epitomize the “elite” ethic. Both House Nasier and House Goritsi are getting new units. Check ’em out.

Dark Age & Wrath of Kings Panel From CMON Expo 2017

As we should all know, A Song of Ice and Fire is not CMON’s first foray into a miniatures game. They’re long-standing game, Dark Age, as well as Wrath of Kings, are both still being developed. They’ve had a couple panels for these two games, hosted by Bryan Steele, Dave Taylor, and David Doust. There’s quite a lot going on for you to check out.

CMON Previews March Wrath of Kings Releases

We’re officially a week into March. Seems like a good time to get the word out about the releases that will be happening this month. At least, CMON thinks so (and I certainly agree). They’ve put up a short video showing off what new box sets will be available for Wrath of Kings.

Wrath of Kings Rules and Cards Update Posted

Wrath of Kings: Rising Conflicts will be releasing soon. With it will be plenty of new things to add to your forces. But this is more looking back on old releases, but in a new way. Since the game’s release, thousands of gamers have played probably a couple hundred-thousand games of Wrath of Kings. Even the most thorough playtesting regimen can’t compare, and so certain things might be found that weren’t found originally. Well, those cracks have been filled in and a new version of the rulebook, as well as the various stat cards and motivations have been updated on the game’s website.

So, it’s coming up to 8pm. Day 2 is definitely in the books for Gen Con 2016. It’s been a very busy day. I’m tired, but still pretty amped about everything that’s gone on. And I’m sure you all would like to know about some of it. There’s been about a billion things to see. So, relatively, here’s a rather small percentage. More will come tomorrow.

Wrath of Kings Reviews Neritic Horror

There are many crazy things that live in our oceans. Just the other day I saw this story about some neon-green-eyed fish-thing that they brought up from the depths.
Yeah, I really have no desire to go swimming in the ocean, thankyouverymuch. Hell, I might run into a Neritic Horror! At least if that did happen, though, the preview posted up for Wrath of Kings will let me know how to deal with it.

Wrath of Kings 2-Player Starter Now Available

As you’ve seen me say before, I love 2-player starters. My first foray into a miniatures game was splitting a 2nd edition 40k starter with my friend. Well, the fellows over at CoolMiniOrNot have created a new 2-player starter set for Wrath of Kings. It’s got pretty much everything you need to get playing right away with some Nasier on Goritsi action.

Shell Cracker Previewed For Wrath of Kings

Though I don’t get to have it all that often, I do love seafood. In particular, I love shellfish. However, this is one crustacean that’s just as likely to try and eat me as I am to eat him. A new preview for Wrath of Kings has been posted. It’s the Shell Cracker for Hadross.

Arkazan Greatwing Preview Posted for Wrath of Kings

In Wrath of Kings, Resilience can very much mean the difference between keeping a figure on the field and having them taken off as a casualty. Sure, there are your wounds backing you up, but if you’ve got a good Resilience score, you might never have to worry about taking a wound. Well, in any good arms race, if there’s a good defense, there’s going to be an offense created to try and crack it. That’s where the Arkazan Greatwing comes in. It’s also what we get a preview of today.

Wrath of Kings Two-Player Starter Box Announced

My first ever purchase for a miniatures game was splitting a 2-player box set (of the 2nd edition 40k box, actually). They’re ridiculously handy for getting you and your friend into a game. We didn’t have any tape measures or dice or anything like that, but the set had everything we need. The same can be said for the new Honor and Treachery set that’s been announced for Wrath of Kings.

The previews for the next set of releases for Wrath of Kings continue coming. Goritsi is featured this time around. CoolMiniOrNot Event Registration Open for Adpeticon 2016

This Con Season may be over, but it’s not going to be long before next year’s starts up. With how wide the “Con Season” is, it barely ends at all. Besides, you gotta plan ahead for these things. You can’t just wake up the day before an event and think, “Yeah, I’ll go and get into all the events I want.” Well, sometimes you can, but it’s not a very good idea. Anyway, event registration is open for CoolMiniOrNot’s events for Adepticon next year.

Wrath of Kings Previews Pelgarth Brutes

The first expansion book for Wrath of Kings is on its way. The five major houses are gearing up for war. New soldiers are hitting the battlefields, ready to defend or conquer, depending on what’s needed at the time. One group that doesn’t seem like the “sit around and wait to defend something” group would be the Pelgarth Brutes, of which we are getting a preview of.

Many different gaming companies will be there holding events. CoolMiniOrNot is one of them. They’ve posted up their events schedule, so you can be prepared.

CMON Video From Day 2 at Gen Con

The CMON booth was once again a big hive of activity. The World of Smog: On Her Majesty’s Service and The Grizzled joined Blood Rage from the day before as sell-outs at the show. People are simply gobbling up these games like crazy. (personal note: I love The Grizzled. I tried it out at CMON Expo last month and really need to get a copy for myself sometime soon)

Wrath of Kings Hadross Spotlight Video Posted

CMON continues their Spotlight Video Series for Wrath of Kings with a look at Hadross. These denizens of the deep invade the surface world to battle their opponents. With tough defensive abilities, they could be seen as the “tank faction” of the game. Their resonating abilities mean your opponents will have to be very cautious about who they attack.

Wrath of Kings Faction Video Spotlight Series Launches

CMON has started posting up new Faction Spotlights for the upcoming Wrath of Kings game. They’ll be posting one a day. The first one is the Nasier. This faction draws most of its power from ceremonial masks that have been imbued with spiritual and elemental powers. They’re a very martial nation and their combat prowess shows. On the tabletop, they’re not much for trickery and deception and would much rather run in and chop your face off.
