CMON Expo Update

As we’ve seen, conventions are starting to come up quickly. Can you believe we’re already at the end of February? 1/6 of the year is almost gone. Well, one show I’m really looking forward to is the CMON Expo (ok, I might be a little biased, but that is my honest opinion). Well, I’ve made another update about some new stuff they’re going to have at the show that you should check out.

Latest Dark Age Releases Posted By CoolMiniOrNot

A New Year brings a new look to some old models over in Dark Age. You know, as times change and such, old sculpts, as good as they might’ve originally been, and how much we’d drooled over them in the past… they can just get to feel stale. So that’s where a good reculpt comes in. You might see a reculpt for a model and it can reawaken an excitement to play an old figure all over again. Granted, it’s not just reculpts in the new releases.

CoolMiniOrNot Posts New Releases

December rolls along and CoolMiniOrNot keeps coming out with more and more cool stuff. This week is no different. For those that are playing Blood Rage, Rum & Bones, or Dark Age, you’ll want to check out the new goodies that are available over in the webshop. There’s still time to possibly get them before the end of the year.

CoolMiniOrNot Event Registration Open for Adpeticon 2016

This Con Season may be over, but it’s not going to be long before next year’s starts up. With how wide the “Con Season” is, it barely ends at all. Besides, you gotta plan ahead for these things. You can’t just wake up the day before an event and think, “Yeah, I’ll go and get into all the events I want.” Well, sometimes you can, but it’s not a very good idea. Anyway, event registration is open for CoolMiniOrNot’s events for Adepticon next year.

Lots of new Releases From CoolMiniOrNot

The Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale that CoolMiniOrNot is running isn’t the only news they have going on this weekend. They have a bunch of new releases to show off as well. Blood Rage, Rum & Bones, Dark Age, and XenoShyft! Oh my!

Latest Dark Age Releases Available from CoolMiniOrNot

Seems that giant robots and giant armor suits are just “the thing” right now.
I’m 100% OK with this.
The latest releases for Dark Age have been posted up and we get us some pretty sweet-looking battle armors for you to put into your Forsaken forces.

September Dark Age Releases Now Available

We’ve made it into September, but you’ll want to stay awake for this one. (do you kids even get that reference or has music forgotten that one?)
The latest Dark Age releases are now available over in the CMON webshop. These continue with making some of the Gen Con pre-releases now available for general release.

CMON Headed to NOVA Open Next Month

While, for a lot of people, the convention may seem to end at Gen Con, that’s really not the case. There’s still shows after that. One of them is the NOVA Open, held in Arlington, VA. Many different gaming companies will be there holding events. CoolMiniOrNot is one of them. They’ve posted up their events schedule, so you can be prepared.

CoolMiniOrNot Posts New Dark Age Releases for August

Dark Age made quite a showing at Gen Con a couple weeks ago. The gallery of early releases I posted was one of my most-viewed during the event. Those of you that were at the show had a chance to pick these up. But for the rest of you (or any that weren’t able to get a ninja-shopper for the event), you can now pick up these figures from the CMON webshop.

CMON Gen Con Day Three Video

Saturday was everything one would expect from Gen Con. The hallways were certainly filled with gamers, geeks, and nerds of all type. All sorts of awesome things were happening. Too many to just have still photos cover it all. Thankfully, there’s video, and CMON has a Day 3 video wrap-up they’re showing off.

Video Coverage from CMON from Day 1 of Gen Con 2015

Gen Con is fully underway now. The first day went by in a flash. The energy in the air was palpable. Everyone I’ve talked to agrees that this year is much busier than last. When the doors open, there’s a huge rush as all the eager gamers head to the various booths in order to get the latest and greatest. One booth that attracted a lot of attention was CMON’s. With lots of new games available for the first time, the line quickly wrapped around the whole double-booth that they have.

Photos Coming out of Gen Con

Wow! Gen Con got off to quite a start this morning! Seemed no sooner than I was awake than I was down at the hall looking over some things when Boom! The doors were opened! It was quite a mad rush in the hall. I don’t know actual numbers, but several people I talked with and I all agreed that this year seems even busier than last (and that was a record-setting year for attendance).

Dark Age Posts Preview of St. Joan Stat Cards

The world of Dark Age is ever-changing and evolving. Characters grow and adapt as the storyline continues on. Well, obviously such a thing would happen in the fluff, but it also happens in the rules for miniatures. New versions come out that show how the characters have progressed. St. Joan is one such character, and it’s her stat card and various units closest to her that we get a preview of today.

New Dark Age Releases Posted for Gen Con

On Friday, CMON posted up their new board game releases they’ll have at Gen Con, but what about Dark Age, their post-apocalyptic sci-fi skirmish game? Well, you’ll be glad you asked when you look at the giant list of new releases that will be at the show. Like their previous book release for the Outcasts, the new expansion focuses on one faction. This time, it’s the Forsaken. What new figures are in store with the release of this new book? Oh, I think you’ll be happy with the answer.

CMON Posts Gen Con Pre-Releases and Events Schedule

I told you that gaming companies were going to be putting up their announcements and such for Gen Con. Well, here’s another one. This time around it’s CMON. They’ve posted up both their pre-releases they’ll have at the show, as well as the various events they’ve got planned.

New Dark Age Previews Posted

The other day we showed you a crop of new Dark Age minis. Well, that wasn’t the only set that CMON has been working on. The forces of St. John are also getting a bit of a revamp, as well as some new figures. And I know the mechanical dragon was pretty cool, but the mechanical griffon can fly. So, as much as I still kinda want to go with the dragon, I think the mechanical griffon is going to win out for now.

New Dark Age Forces of St. Mark Previews Posted

CMON is showing off some new sculpts for Dark Age, specifically St. Mark on his mechanical dragon as well as a look at the new Shade sculpts they’ve been working on. I need to look into getting a mechanical dragon to ride to work on. Sure, you’re open to the elements and such, and it doesn’t look like there’s a lot of cargo space. But it’d look pretty cool. Along with the sculpts, we’ve also got a preview of a bunch of new stat cards.

Details about Immortals 2015 for Dark Age posted

Strange to think that Gen Con is just a touch over 2 weeks away. It’s going to be here before you even realize it. If you’re prepping for any of the events, you are hopefully well into it by now. If not, you’d better get a move on. One event you may be looking to get set for is the Dark Age Immortals tourney.

CMON Posts new Dark Age Releases

Well, for those of us here in the US, it’s time for a good, old-fashioned BBQ. And what good, old-fashioned BBQ would be complete if it weren’t for some cow meat on the grill? Well, I might suggest not trying to eat one of these new Dark Age releases from CMON. Instead, you can put them down on the table and cause some havoc.

More CMON Expo Photos

Well, Day 3 is coming to a close here at the CMON Expo 2015. It has been a great time. There’s been a lot of laughs, a lot of games, a lot of smack-talk, a lot of looking at some awesomely-painted figures, and a lot of just… gaming stuff. It’s always fun to talk with others who enjoy the gaming hobby as much as you do (or sometimes, their enthusiasm knows no bounds!). The show will be missed.

But we can always look back at the photos. We’ve put up a couple more galleries over on Facebook for you to check out.

CMON Looks to the Past, Present, and Future at CMON Expo 2015

The CoolMiniOrNot Expo 2015 (or CMON Expo if you’re hip) kicked off in Atlanta, Georgia today. For those of you unfamiliar with the event, it’s an annual tabletop gaming convention hosted by the folks at CMON where gamers get to try out the company’s past, present, and future games along with a wide array of other titles from companies like On The Lamb, Action Phase, Witchborn, and more. To kick off the event, CMON held their State of Affairs panel detailing its releases during 2014 and 2015, what’s to come later in 2015, and a taste of the games we can look forward to in the future. CMON Posts New Dark Age Releases

It’s the first of the month and we know what that means, new Dark Age releases are here! *sets off the alarm bells so everyone knows* The Slavers and the Salt Nomads are the ones getting new figures this month. One of them has huge water bottles on their back. He’s like a human camel. Well, as human as the denizens of Dark Age get, anyway.

Latest Dark Age Releases Posted by CMON

CMON knows that one of the coolest groups in any setting is the Bounty Hunters. The sci-fi minis game, Dark Age, has their own set of guns-for-hire that can be added to your force. Their May releases this month focus on these sellswords. With a couple resculpts and a bunch of brand new faces to their rogues gallery, these Bounty Hunters will be a welcome addition to your Dark Age collection, and they’re certainly ones to shoot first.
Check them out below the cut.

CMON Previews New Frenzied for Dark Age

CMON has posted a painted-up preview of two new Frenzied models for Dark Age they’ll be coming out with soon. One of the new Outcast Slaver units, the Frenzied are actually captured Buzzblades that have been… persuaded to now work for the Slavers. You can find the stats for them in the recently release Dark Age: Outcasts book. Also, they’re on the Dark Age website (check them out here). They’re a bit of a nasty group, if you ask me, all melee slashy-ness with potential to bite incoming enemies. And if they don’t hack away at someone on their turn, well… just make sure they hack at someone on the enemy side, or you may regret it.

You can pick up the new Outcast faction deck as well, to make sure your cards are the most up-to-date.
